    This album is really, really good. The song lyrics also really motivate me. And the song I like the most is "Black Swan" where the long lost existence of a black swan reappeared after BTS released this song.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the songs are really good, no skips at all. as for the physical, the four different versions screams range, never seen an artist that can pull off different range/genre. they can do pop, ballad, hiphop, retro etc. one of my favorite(s) is black swan, first of all the meaning is deeper than pacific ocean. the bgm itself sounds good, the way they slip a rap part in that song is so amazing. it’s not a typical “kpop”, tbh bts isn’t your typical kpop group, Map Of The Soul: 7 c alone can prove that.… Expand

    I think, MOTS 7 is the best album for this year because BTS made any good and meaningful songs ever. Lot of songs in this album that have same story as our real life, our struggle and our problem also songs that tell how to fight it and manage it until we can be happy. Im not good in English, but I want to tell you, if its not a waste to hear their songs. I recommend you to hear ZeroI think, MOTS 7 is the best album for this year because BTS made any good and meaningful songs ever. Lot of songs in this album that have same story as our real life, our struggle and our problem also songs that tell how to fight it and manage it until we can be happy. Im not good in English, but I want to tell you, if its not a waste to hear their songs. I recommend you to hear Zero O’Clock (00.00) for the first try and look at their romanized lyrics or maybe hear the Dionysus if you like the rock genre as well!     Map of the Soul 7 is like a musical journey from start to finish. From Persona (trying to figure out who they are) then progressing to Shadow (the dark side to fame) then in the end, Ego (where they come to term with themselves), every song is fitting yet still wonderfully unique! My personal favorite is Black Swan, where they have this fear of losing the passion for music. It makes meMap of the Soul 7 is like a musical journey from start to finish.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. BTS does it again! Their introspective lyrics touched my heart. My faves are Zero O'Clock, Filter, Shadow, Louder Than Bombs, and Black Swan.

    Zero O'Clock is the best song to play when it's midnight. It captures the feeling of guilt over not working enough during the day and comparing oneself's productivity with others'. It encourages people to look forward to the upcoming day and helps the listener to sleep. There are psychiatrists who have given rave reviews of the song. (You can search them up on YouTube.) Filter is a beautifully haunting sensual piece that benefits from the honey vocals of the BTS member Jimin. The song talks about the expectations that people have of Jimin, and that Jimin hopes to fulfill. It talks about how people view him through colored lenses, where these colors make up a palette. It talks about how he transforms in front of people, how he can be seen as cute at times, sexy at other times. Shadow is another haunting piece that destabilizes the listeners and fans. A solo rap-heavy single by SUGA, this song talks about the fear after reaching one's dreams of being a star, how there's a constant threat of falling and how there's suffocation due to the invasions of privacy. Louder Than Bombs is yet another haunting song, and this time it's about the darkness of pursuing a competitive profession. People in any competitive profession, e.g. academia, consulting, finance, acting, sports, can relate with the feelings of impostor syndrome and wanting to give up. Black Swan is paired with a strikingly beautiful contemporary dance performance that showcases the members' artistic ability and emotive genius. The song is about the fear of losing one's passion for art/music/dance, and then losing motivation to continue, screaming a silent internal scream, and dying one's first death.

    The album is so amazing, they makes the album full with the big ideas, enguarded emotion and strong conviction. Their album is also fantastic summary of BTS and charts a path forward in a tumultuous but exiting new era for Korean Pop
    This album is an imprenssive, exiting and moving album with slick production, accoumpanied by thought provoking art, cant wait ti see next album

    Persona lacked the natural fluidity and chicness of their best music. Those problems aren’t exactly mitigated here, since most of those songs appear on this album too, but within this new context, they feel like a flashback before the saga continues. Many of the new songs are better about balancing Easter eggs for day-ones with new entry points for more casual listeners.
