    I was not at all prepared to like this album. Although I enjoyed Medellin I thought Crave and Future were lackluster. However, in the context of the album they work. God Control is one of the best Madonna beats ever; although, I don't really care for the lyrics.

    First listen, I was super in love with a few songs, but was confused about the rest. SO second time through, and I get it now. Such an unusual and interesting and enjoyable record! I an now in love with it. God Control, Looking for Mercy, Dark Ballet, Crave, Faz Gostoso (now) and I don't Search I find are my faves. Also love **** I'm Loca, Crazy, Come Alive.. such a great fun listen. TheFirst listen, I was super in love with a few songs, but was confused about the rest. SO second time through, and I get it now.     The Best album of Madonna since Confession on a dance floor. Here she mixes portuguese music with a little bit of latin music. I really don't understand why this album has so many mixed reviews!

    On just the first listens - one of the most consistent, creative albums she’s delivered in years. Definitely not chasing trends... i think this is going to be a grower and adds to her legacy.

    Great album! She took the risk and made some of the best of pop around nowadays. Highly recommend listen to God’s Control, Dark Ballet and Crazy.

    One of Madonna's most original, raw and inside albums. You can only love it, or hate it, it's hard to just like it. She's proven once again she's the queen of all the pop queens, completely careless about the ratings and critics, she's just out there doing her thing. I really really loved it!

    This is a great album. Madonna has never disappointed me. Us diehard fans always felt she is the most relevant artist of all time. I'm happy she's still around to make me feel like i'm in my teens waiting for the midnight sale to go buy her albums (hence True Blue 1986) diehard till the end.

    I'd say in my honest opinion, Madame X is one of Madonna's best records since Confessions On A Dance Floor. Some of my personal favorites from Madame X are, "Crave" featuring Swae Lee, "Dark Ballet", "I Rise" which is iconic at best, as well as her stunning "Looking For Mercy" and her heart throbbing powerful ballad, "Extreme Occident" which I liked a lot. "Batuka" is another amazing trackI'd say in my honest opinion, Madame X is one of Madonna's best records since Confessions On A Dance Floor. Some of my personal favorites from Madame X are, "Crave" featuring Swae Lee, "Dark Ballet", "I Rise" which is iconic at best, as well as her stunning "Looking For Mercy" and her heart throbbing powerful ballad, "Extreme Occident" which I liked a lot. "Batuka" is another amazing track that is flooded with African Culture, and is a really catchy track by Madonna. "Medellin", and **** I'm Loca" featuring Maluma, are really interesting and catchy, and are some of Madonna's most creative works of art in this century alone. Another catchy tune I liked was, "I Don't Search, I Find" which is very creative, and is an aspiring Disco infused EDM track, which brings her back to her 90's roots, like "Vogue", "Deeper And Deeper", and some of her early 2000's work, Music, and American Life.

    I'd say I would give this a perfect 10 based on it's creativity that Madonna put into this record. Madame X has done it again!    … Expand

    This is truly a masterpiece. She achieves to combine different musical genres without losing her identity. A musical journey worth listening to. Madame X is an album you need to listen without prejudice. It is Madonna experimenting and taking risks no other artist of her size would ever take. Just brilliant.

    Madonna at 60, showing that there is no age to reinvent herself again. The record starts with the fresh, latin-oriented track "Medellin" with colombian star "Maluma". As the record goes on and Madonna sings "I had a dream and I woke up in medellin" she certainly wakes up on the next tracks. Those gets a different take on Madonna. The Madonna on full rage political mode. "Dark Ballet" picksMadonna at 60, showing that there is no age to reinvent herself again. The record starts with the fresh, latin-oriented track "Medellin" with colombian star "Maluma". As the record goes on and Madonna sings "I had a dream and I woke up in medellin" she certainly wakes up on the next tracks. Those gets a different take on Madonna. The Madonna on full rage political mode. "Dark Ballet" picks up right after he 1989 iconic canon-song "Like a Prayer" and it leads us to "God Control" (the climax of the record for me). God Control give us 90's Madonna vibes at her best (so does I don't search, I find). Then Madonna takes us to morocco, cabo verbe, Portugal, Brazil. It's really a global album. It finishes with "I Rise". One of her best tracks on this decade. This is a 10/10 album that only a very inspired Madonna could deliver. She gives pop creativity at best and geniality.     If someone did not like this album, there's only one reason for that: this person didn't understand this album. Cause only Madonna could that risc and make such great music. She has latino, portuguese and Africa influences, dance music etc etc etc. It's a piece of art. A masterpiece actually.

    Come Alive is as close as electronica can get to a prayer. Extreme Occident is a solemn reflection with the pleasant warmth of a desert at sunset and when the night falls, Looking for Mercy leaves you gazing in wonder at infinity, without and within.
    Lyrically, Madonna's in her element and every collaboration fits like a glove.

    The best trip I've could ever have since Confessions. It's bold, it's bizarre, it gives you an in your face feeling in a good way.

A multicultural album with so many broad taste of songs it’s extremely hard to skip a track because there all so amazing. A great welcoming return to the Queen of Pop! Highlights off the album include I Don’t Search I Find, God Control, ExtremeBest album she’s release since 2005’s Confessions On A Dancefloor. The sound is fresh and consistent with every song sounding different and unique.     Totally accepted! New sounds, deep texts concept, some times heavy load, sometimes fuzzy dances, but very organic to the whole concept. It sounds much more fresh than new albums of some recent ‘mega music celebrities’ of our days. I love this Madonna

    The most experimental album of her career. The unusual sound and deep meaning gives this album a bit of magic. Nice work, Madonna!

    One of her best albums. She fits herself today's music. I felt like I was listening to one of the 2010's artists. But Medellin and Extreme Occident are not the songs that I can die for. Probably I will never listen to them.

    Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.
