    Taylor's best album since RED. Although I did not like the first two singles, the album really suprised me. I love Cruel Summer, Miss Americana, False God, Afterglow and Daylight. I highly recommend listening to False God at night. The rest are all grower. I find myself sometimes sing along Paper Ring and London Boy,... even ME! I like it better when it was placed in the whole album.

Lover, Daylight and Paper Rings are typical Swift songs, romantic, well written and easy to relate to. On the other hand, it is with songs such as The Man and Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince that she arrives in a different place in her career, using her platform to talk about things that matter the most in our society trough the most delicate poetry. Overall, it is an outstanding album, by far her best work in pop music. Despite having 18 songs, the album is so beautiful that it just feels like it’s not enough!… Expand

    Easily her best album by far. The concepts expanded on lyrics through out these songs are more complex than any other album. Every song has several things to say and it’s impressive how they are all still cohesive. The nostalgic references as a metaphor for today’s political society was also brilliant. Sonically, everything is either a bop or a tear jerker. Simply stunning work.

    Lover is a absolutely beautiful album! A mix of feelings from the start to end. I've cried of happines and sadness thru this album. Songs like "Cruel Summer", "Cornelia Street" and "Miss Americana and the heartbreak prince" that have the power of create a image in your head. The single "Lover" is one of the most beautiful love songs i've ever heard. This album is pure ART!

    This album is something that I’ve been really looking forward to and, unlike Reputation and -yes, judge me if you will- 1989, it totally exceeded my expectations. Every song title is so intriguing and they were nothing like I thought they would be. They’re better! Taylor manages to sound sexy, funny, happy, sad, hopeful, ironic... all in one **** album.     Taylor manages to sound sexy, funny, happy, sad, hopeful, ironic... all in one **** album. I’m still amazed! I know... “there are 18 tracks”, you might say, “that’s why she could pull it off”. I beg to differ. 18 tracks are just about 3-6 extra chances of messing up and getting people bored. I’m not bored. At all. Actually, I’m honestly thrilled that I can finally relate to her songs again, since I’m married for five years now and happily so. And I’m glad she’s happy too and has finally found her daylight in Joe Alwyn. Good for them and for us... you know, ‘cause things just keep getting better.

    She just nailed it.

    this album is the best album of taylor so far PERIODT. the lyrics are on point, so is the production. the lyrics have the red vibe, while the production has that 90s synth pop of 1989. this album is truly a love letter, so romantic and soft yet so empowering. not only does taylor talk about her lover in this album but she also talks about the haters, politics, her support for the LGBTthis album is the best album of taylor so far PERIODT. the lyrics are on point, so is the production. the lyrics have the red vibe, while the production has that 90s synth pop of 1989. this album is truly a love letter, so romantic and soft yet so empowering. not only does taylor talk about her lover in this album but she also talks about the haters, politics, her support for the LGBT community, feminism, etc. i personally love the song miss americana and the heartbreak prince, which you can understand the meaning of it in 2 ways - first is the high school love she had at the age of 16 and second is her political views on american government (she shades all the white men in the republican party including donald trump). the song has both excellent lyrics and production. and of course we can't miss the man in which she shades leonardo dicarpio when she talks about double standards. the album has so many highlights with a lot of bops that are potential to be hits and emotional songs that make you cry like soon you'll get better which was dedicated to taylor's cancer-suffering mom. lover's ending track - daylight can't be better and more perfect. "you are what you love," taylor said in the outro the song, creates a beautiful ending for the album. this album is definitely a must-listen and one of the best albums of the year (hope it'll get a grammy cause it deserves)

It is absolutely unbelievable how she managed to fit her lyrics in this new sound for her in her SEVENTH album. She deserves every bit of success she has and no one can argue with the fact that she is the greatest lyricist of our generation. She showed us a more mature and brighter side of her, inTaylor Swift really proved that she is one of the most versatile artists of all time. It is absolutely unbelievable how she managed to fit her lyrics in this new sound for her in her SEVENTH album. She deserves every bit of success she has and no one can argue with the fact that she is the greatest lyricist of our generation. She showed us a more mature and brighter side of her, in comparison to her 2017 album, reputation, and let us in her private life, her relationship with Joe and her mom's battle with cancer. Swift also discussed sexism that women face on a daily basis on the 4th track, called The Man, She even writes about the political situation in America but not in a literal way, but she covered up that circus by making up this imaginary high school.
    Overall, Taylor Swift's new album is something new, a breath of fresh air, but at the same something familiar, just like her two previous records.

I think everyone should give the entire thing a listen because there is a 95% chance there will be at lost one song you like on the album. The bad reviews I've seen on here have all been "I listened to the first three songs and they were all terrible." That's not aI like how in this Album there is such a wide variety of songs, from Cruel Summer to Soon You'll Get Better, to Afterglow. I think everyone should give the entire thing a listen because there is a 95% chance there will be at lost one song you like on the album.     A decent album that I did quite enjoy. It has probably one or two songs that I can listen to on repeat just for the share fact of how good they are. I do feel that this album is a bit long and that the second part of the album does fall short on the quality the first part of the album. Questionable single choices but over all. A decent pop album.

    Nice album, if you love Taylor, specially her 1989 then Lover is totally for you. Beautiful lovesongs with deep lyrics and pleasing melodies. All tracks sounds different but it's her own style. Jack Antonoff is master of art.
    Please don't believe anyone who rate 0 only cause of Lana's NFR. It's uncontrollable stupid war between two fandoms here. Both albums are great and deserve their 10s. Peace!

    Every single track on this album perfectly covers the different forms and sides of love. The title couldn't be more fitting. The title track Lover is truly a timeless song with an outstanding lyrical component. I can't stress enough how every track can complement any mood accordingly: from betrayal to first loves, to loce and desilusionment in the current political climatem truly a masterpiece.

    This is a fantastic album, Taylor did it again as always. Killing lyrics and catchy melody and the beat and the production……it's all just perfect. When ME! came out I thought this may be weak but Taylor girl you proved me WRONG!!! Lover deserves all the compliments and awards!!! It's just so glad to see her finally out of the woods and be happy again!!!

    Such an amazing album. Her voice is beautiful. Those lyrics are just wow. Can’t decide yet whether this is my favorite album or continues to be 1989. However, this is my favorite at the moment. Lover, afterglow, daylight, along with other songs are truly amazing. So proud of her and this album.
