This album personifies early 10s pop music. Lots of hits & iconic songs. Rihanna provides a lot of variety in this album. Good vocals, themes & lyrics.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is such a fast grower once you take it all in calmly. At first, it can be overwhelming. There are 21 tracks and by the end, for me upon first listen, songs blurred together, becoming monotonous, but that is a very wrong impression of what the album is like. My advice is to take the time to listen to and appreciate each song individually. Expand

I decided to listen to this album because of its single, and while I was listening to it, I realized that that's all this album has, the singles. This album will forever be a pop bible, this cohesive work showed us that no one could make Rihanna's music and interpret it like her. The other artists are generic but Rihanna always adds her own style and makes it different.

its a good pop album but lacks the wow factors. It is a 'commercial album' with the elements required. I want to see a breakthrough from her.

This Rihanna's latest collection is another sure fire assault on the charts and airwaves. It highlights exactly the best and worst of today's pop aesthetic. Maybe «Loud» would not sound quite so slapdash if it did not follow «Good Girl Gone Bad», one of the best pop albums of its decade, and «Rated R», one of the most fascinating pop albums of the same time frame. Glad this album is kinda short, cause there's nothing interesting as the singles, which represent some of Rihanna's best times, since the rest of this songs sound too repetitive and boring.
Top Track: Only Girl (In The World)
    Worst Track: Complicated

Rihanna's fifth studio album 'Loud' is probably the best, lyrically generic record of all time. Although none of the songs have a personal touch or deeper value than their simple, basic lyrics, the production and vocals are enough to make this album one iconic record. Definitely one of Rihanna's better projects and her most vocally pleasant. The catchy pop tracks work so well with the vocally challenging ballads we are also given. The record is also short enough that you do not really care that she doesn't provide anything special in terms of lyrical content.

This album apart from being a great commercial success is completely a bible of pop, it is not the typical boring pop that Katy Perry or Kesha could give you and that is evidenced when the three released their works the same year and the professional critics applauded only one.

Rihanna thrills her best quality, but it's not enough to be what you can expect. Although, there are songs that are totally already worth better cohesion and sound, it has its escapades around production. It lacks its burning, which we saw on the last album. But the quality is not lacking, and one can say that a little more salt the album would be impeccable as the predecessors.

This is another almost flawless album from Rihanna, while Rated R slipped back a bit 'Loud' is up there with 'Good Girl Gone Bad' as her strongest work. With a fantastic lead single with several more that followed also.

While each track on Loud is an audio Polaroid of past work, there's little evolution. It's evident Rihanna is working her way to the top, but she's been doing that for three albums now.

The record's best moments aim low rather than loud, with spacious, skittery beats that let loose Rihanna's Caribbean cadence.
