    Whether you like her or not you have to see the facts. The album is a gem and her least favorites are growing to be liked as much as the others. Maria, Deserve, Pipe, Unless Is With You are currently my faves but all the album is unique and beautiful in its own facets. LOVE IT. LOVE IT. LOVE IT.

    So different from the rest, as always, , best songs are Maria and Deserve, but all the other songs are different, good, modern, and classics, Fall in line the best single of any album of Christina Aguilera, this album really good and interesting, you have to hear it more than once.

    Acabo de escuchar el LIBERATION y es ESPECTACULAR, calidad y variedad de sonidos, Xtina vocalmente perfecta, es un disco muy fresco, que abarca diversos generos musicales como el Pop, la balada, el Pop rock y el Hip hop.
    En conclusión Christina Aguilera siemre reinventandose para sorprender a sus fanaticos y al mercado musical. Felicitaciones Xtina!!!

    Christina can sing whatever genre she wants. Her voice is so good in every song. No doubt i'ts the best album of 2018. The highlights: Maria, Deserve, Fall in Line and Twice.

    I've been a fan of Christina's for many years now and can say she's not perfect. I wasn't a huge fan of Lotus and was anxiously awaiting new music. Liberation starts off with a gorgeous (almost cinematic!) piece by Moonlight composer Nicholas Britell. The intro leads into delicate vocals from the Sound of Music which then leads into the phenomenally produced "Maria". From then on sheI've been a fan of Christina's for many years now and can say she's not perfect. I wasn't a huge fan of Lotus and was anxiously awaiting new music. The fact that Liberation offers a relevant point of view is incredible, as most of the material was recorded throughout those 6 years. Some of the highlights are: "Deserve" - no other female singer could pull off a track such as ||"Deserve"|| the way Christina can. he approach is incredibly confident, yet, there is an immense undertone of defeat: her tone suggest she knows what she’s done wrong, and she wishes to make it right by displaying tremendous vulnerability admitting the reasons as to why she has faltered this way. ||"Accelerate"||, is one of Christina’s strongest lead singles. It does not conform to traditional structures, and it is experimental on all fronts. Yet, it manages to stay cohesive throughout, and above all, one never loses sight of the fact that Xtina is in the song’s driver’s seat. ||"Pipe"|| Though it’s still unclear as to who Christina’s collaborator “XNDA” is on "Pipe" (literally, the internet has no clue), there is little confusion as to this song's brilliance. The track is a smooth jam, with trip-hoppy undertones. It oozes smoothness and warmth. I envision Pipe being the song one plays, when about 70% of one’s party guests have arrived, and the party is about to officially take off. ||"Masochist"|| the 14th track on "Liberation" is yet another exceptional offering. Though it is not about overt Sadomasochism, the song details the painful gratification gained when one stays in a moot relationship. ||"Unless It’s With You"||, is the album’s closer. In this beautifully restrained, blues inspired ballad, Christina details her lack of preoccupation with white picket fences, and the idea of marriage - in fact, she won’t entertain marriage unless it’s with this one special person. Liberation's only weak point is it narrative structure, moving a few of the songs around would result in a much more thematically cohesive record. Additionally, in my opinion, ||"Fall In Line"|| makes such a great impact on its own, that it could do without ||"Dreamers"|| as its intro. But my goodness, it's a very special day today, as we have Christina Aguilera back in artistic mode, officially. As Jon Pareles, of the New York Times states, in his review of "Liberation": A voice like [Aguilera's] has become something like a turntable: a vintage prize, a modern novelty, a niche taste."     Ame cada uno de los tracks de Liberation , los fts, el tener a Demi Lovato y todos esos sonidos , Xtina busca siempre experimentar y el hacer algo distinto en cada album, salir de la casilla no es facil pero Xtina siempre lo hace y el resultado es fantástico.

    Liberation is such an interesting experience. The blending of sounds is interesting, and the lyrics go beyond any bubblegum pop CD out there. We all know Xtina is a risk taker, and she doesn't want to be labeled as a Pop singer. Here she sings her heart out, experiments and plays with soul, RnB and Hip hop. An interesting approach.

    I've been waiting for this moment since a long time ago. I'm so happy right now, because this is the best album Christina has recorded since B2B (I still venture to say that since Stripped). Liberation is a masterpiece, from the first to the last note. Deserve, Maria and Fall In Line are definitely my favorites. There are no bad tracks on this record.

    This album is such an incredible experience, especially for the ones who have been watching her growth over the years and after everything she’s been trough, Xtina finally releases one hell of a masterpiece, a work of art that could only be birthed by the artist she is today.     I was waiting again for Christina Aguilera and her new music, I always thought that I did not want to hear those songs that are only made to be played in a club. This album has hip hop, R & b and beautiful soul. It shows that she wanted to sing, really. Liberation is easy going. Listen Maria, Deserve and fall in line. (sick of sittin is the most rare and I love it)

Her iconic voice and artistry come full-circle with this sixth release, marking her 20th year in the industry. Such longevity is hard to come by, but Christina's raw talent and musical reinventions have kept it going. And now, with "Liberation," undoubtedly her best album since 2006's "Back to Basics," has added another gem to her glorious discography. Firstly, this album is quite an experience. It feels like a story is being told in stages.

    "Liberation" and "Searching for Maria" are two captivating and cinematic intro tracks that lead into the exciting and encaptivating "Maria," which features a Michael Jackson sample and searches for the passionate girl inside her. The "collaboration" works and the production is genius, especially the haunting outro backed by just a triangle. A stand-out for sure.

    "Sick of Sittin'" delves into rock-ish/Americana territory and is about breaking chains and being free, reminiscent of "Fighter" and "Army of Me."

    "Dreamers" is a nice little interlude leading into the explosive, powerful, and spine-tingling "Fall in Line" featuring Demi Lovato, one of 2018's best singles. It is a redeeming empowerment anthem with a great key change. The vocal power on this song is out-of-this-world, and the built-up production takes this song to another level. Definitely a stand-out.

    "Right Moves" and "Like I Do" move on to chill reggae/R&B territory and feature some moody/vibe-ish tracks with lots of stellar production, restrained vocals, and great features.

    "Deserve" is a great song with trap production but is entirely Xtina, with lyricism about relationships and introspection.

    "Twice" is a haunting piano ballad reminiscent of something on Stripped. It is a beautiful song and showcases Xtina's vocal talent and emotional delivery. Very much a stand-out.

    "Accelerate" is one of 2018's most underrated tracks! It is such a groovy track with different production, and yet it works as it's quite infectious.

    "Pipe" is the reactivation of Dirrty Xtina. Its lyrics aren't very subtle, but that adds to the flavor of the song, which speaks about a lover giving it down. It is sexual, sensual, and relatable. The production is also top-notch and bouncy. Definitely another stand-out.

    "Masochist" is a witty track about causing self-inflicted pain to oneself over other people. It is one of those happy-sad songs, with quaint and longing production. It is quite emotional inducing, too.

    "Unless It's With You" is an IMPECCABLE closer! It is classic Xtina and reminds me of songs like "Save Me From Myself" from Back to Basics. It is a wedding song, for sure, with lyrics like "I don't want to get married/Unless it's with you" backed by a gospel choir, piano, and Xtina's acrobatic vocals that hit mind-blowing runs, whistle notes, and emotional vocals enough to move the most jaded of people to tears. By far another stand-out.

    All in all, this "Liberation" demonstrates how Christina has returned to form. It is inspired, mature, vulnerable, unabashed, insecure, truthful, and most of all: meaningful. It is a classic Xtina album. The six-year gap was worth the wait as it is hands-down one of 2018's best releases.    … Expand

    6 years not releasing an album and still comes up fresh with the current music era. Still very cohesive and out of this world vocal ability to be different in every track. It has longevity that's for sure! Maria stands up for me, alongside 10 other songs. Good job Legendtina! :D

Heavy beats, heavy drums and heavenly vocals by Christina. A masterpiece. You dont hear this today. You dont hear a voice like this. Her instrument just moves you in a way the late Whitney, or debut Mariah did. She isAn amazing reintroduction to the always daring Aguilera. Always renewing herself, always trying new things.     Liberation es un álbum conceptual. Posee el alma de su disco "stripped" y la alto nivel creativo de aguilera en "Back to basics". Cada canción te cuenta una historia sobre la búsqueda de Christina así misma. La voz de christina suena fresca en cada canción.

The album is a mix of sounds, a bit of R&B, a bit of Pop, a little Jazz, the lyrics of each song tell a story, even the shallow ones have a meaning and of course the powerful songs are present!     Liberation is something Christina Aguilera has never done before and I do not expect anything less. She is always reinventing herself and her music and to me, she is a true artist. Liberation easily shows off Christina's voice in many different textures and genres. You will not be disappointed.

    Xtina delivered a cohesive piece of art and allows her voice to shine. It's a clear narrative she is telling - about finding yourself again. The standouts are the R&B tracks - Pipe, Deserve, Like I Do - and the ballads - Masochist, Unless It's With You, Twice. And can we talk about the intro - that's art!

    We needed this album at a time when all music on radio sounds the same.

    But one thing that i'm not really like that there is too much Interlude & Intro in this album, so I can't get another full track from Christina but just a Intro or Interlude. But this album still can be my jam.

    A very mature album, strong, powerful and incredible. It has a great passage through pop, r&b, soul, hip&hop and reggae. The lyrics are very good, they bring strength and strength. It also talks about love, sex, life, about meeting in life and marriage. Christina Aguilera came back in style, brought a wonderful album and her vocals are beautiful and strong as ever.

    All the album is cohesive, even with different sonorities. It is a masterpiece for dealing with issues sensitive to society, such as the place of women in society and the struggle for equality. Simply divine!

    Liberation never reaches the heights fans likely wanted from Xtina, it serves as a pleasant refresher for a voice that has earned its place in the annals of pop history. That said, it’s a bit sad to feel like her finest moments are, at least for now, also in her past.
