    Acompanho a Christina desde o seu grande álbum Stripped, que assim como a mim, ajudou a muitas outras pessoas a superarem as dificuldades e não abaixarem a cabeça, após tantos trabalhos que nos dá orgulho de escutar e compartilhar, ela veio com Liberation algo totalmente diferente do que esperávamos e simplesmente surpreendente.     Here's an album that's fresh, sexy, and lirycally intriguing, too. Liberation is mature, ambitious, and very coheisve. There's not one weak song on this album. Aguilera delivered another release meant for cult status.

    Liberation is a beautifully done, cohesive album. She plays with many different textures/tones of her voice which i loved. lyrically it was both deep/introspective as well as flirty/fun. I LOVE this album. There are not many albums I can listen to from beginning to end without any skips and truly enjoy the journey and story being told. It's everything you'd want from a Christina Aguilera album.

Each song is written carefully and contains meaningful lyrics that I'm sure everyone will find themselves in at least one song.     This album is not for the masses. It does not ride onto the top40 formula, consistent with the sensibilities and creativity of Stripped and Back to Basics. Ergo, it is fresh and dare I say intelligent. It is the music of thinking people.

    Only Christina Aguilera has the balls to make an album like this. She explores, she experiments, she DELIVERS. Her voice is at her best, and the sound is sick. 'Deserve' has to be a single, THE best song of the year.

    It is so amazing how she is able to be this versatile artist that she is and bring in each album, a different sonority with a different Christina.
    Liberation has quality, has soul, has talent.
    The combination of the tracks Liberation, Searching For Maria e Maria are, definitely, the heart of the album and one of the bests moments in her career.
    No doubt, it's the best female album of 2018!

    One of the best album in 2018, it took her 6 years to release this masterpiece and it was worth it. This alsbum is so complete in all genres, it has rock , pop , reaggae and rap, also great ballads like twice and unless it's with you. Again the best album of 2018. Liberation.

    Liberation starts with a gorgeous orchestral piece, and tackles many    After years of absence in the music landscape (bar the few singles released here and there, "Say Something" and "Change" to name a few), Aguilera finally comebacks with a grandiose effort that made me forget about Lotus, an innocuous pop album that definitely is not up to par with the huge talent Aguilera possesses.
    Liberation starts with a gorgeous orchestral piece, and tackles many themes and styles in the same way Aguilera has accustomed us in her long career (see Stripped, Back To Basics and Bionic). Then Aguilera sings gracefully a little bit of "The Sound Of Music" to introduce, what I consider the heart and the true masterpiece of this piece of work, "Maria", a song -produced by Kanye West, and with a Jackson 5 sample- that feels cinematic and dramatic and in which the singer questions her own existence (Maria is Aguilera's middle name). Aguilera now wants to sing for all the right reasons, like she did when she was a little girl in love with the purity of music. But life happened, and that little girl was lost and, finally found. A beautiful and sincere glimpse of where Aguilera is in her life now.
    "Sick Of Sittin'", produced by Anderson .Paak, is reminiscent of the funkadelic/soul movement (no surprise "SoS" was praised by music legend George Clinton!), and also reminds me of Michael Jackson in the way Aguilera repeats the chorus. When two talents like .Paak and Aguilera collides, the result is mind-blowing.
    Track #5 is "Dreamers", interlude to "Fall in Line", a belt-astic and powerful duet with Demi Lovato. Like Aguilera herself, Lovato had a troubled past that she overcame with strength and remarkable resilience. Combined with the lungs she has, Lovato is the perfect choice for this collaboration. "Fall In Line" is a strong and empowering feminist anthem (to which Aguilera is no stranger, "Can't Hold Us Down", fourth single off of "Stripped" comes to mind). Classic Aguilera, through and through. And that key change is all kind of amazingness!
    With track #6 the tone of the album shifts, and becomes more light. "Right Moves", featuring Keida and Shenseea, is a fun, sexy and reggae sounding song. Despite the very relaxed approach vocal wise on this track, Aguilera still offers beautiful harmonies and a very interesting belt.
    "Like I Do" is the other .Paak produced song of the album, after "SoS". But it's nothing like the latter, proving how Aguilera and Anderson are a very dynamic and creative duo when together. Featuring GoldLink (that funnily and cleverly cites other Aguilera hit songs in his verse, like "Ain't No Other Man" and "Genie In A Bottle"), the track has an infectious beat (that flute is stuck on my mind!) and displays Aguilera musicality and confident lyrics.
    After two very groovy and vibey songs, "Liberation" is reflective again. "Deserve" (my personal second favorite after "Maria") transports us in a spacelike and dreamy dimension. The theme of this song is very much relatable, stating the complexity of relationships, and the way we sometimes self-sabotage them. "Do I deserve you?" is the big question Aguilera asks. With a booming chorus, a crystal clear vocal production, and ambient pop production provided by MNEK (whose voice can be heard in the background of the song, symbolizing the duality of a relationship) "Deserve" is one of the gems "Liberation" can offer.
    Track #10, "Twice" comes right after. The emotional and stripped-down ballad starts with a gorgeous acapella, and has a double meaning: could be applied to a relationship, but -as stated from Aguilera- also refers to her music career. The singer comes to term with everything that happened to her, the good and the bad.
    "I Don't Need It Anymore (Interlude)" is a reprise of "SoS" and proceeds "Accelerate". Aguilera doesn't need all the pain expressed in the two previous tracks anymore. "Change is in the air", in fact!
    "Accelerate", featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz and produced by K.West is a big and bold statement from Aguilera. Everything is unconventional here: the tribal drums that opens up the track, the back and forth between Aguilera and Ty Dolla $ign, the long outro with just ad-libs and synths! Without doubts, the most musically exciting Aguilera has been in a long time.
    "Pipe", featuring mysterious XNDA, is the most sensual song of the record and showcases another side of Aguilera's voice. She never sounded so girly before (not even on her debut album!).
    "Masochist", despite the interesting production (reminiscent of the 80's), is what I consider the weakest link of the album. It lacks a bit of oomph that would have elevated the song.
    The album now comes to the end with "Unless It's With You", the perfect closer and THE ballad of "Liberation". Produced by Ricky Reed, the song reflects on marriage and is a vocal masterclass, embellished with sweet sounding falsettos and majestic belts. Timeless masterpiece!

    Absolutely the best album released this year so far. The album entails a story of Christina Aguilera going back to her old self and finding what she have lost. Tracks 1 to 3 were on fire. They were tailored perfectly. Liberation shows how Christina Aguilera's voice can shift from one tone to another and to another and to another. She is a beast! Not a lot of singer can do that.

    The six year wait was worth it. Christina gets criticised for taking so long between albums but if this is the quality she comes up with when she does release music than IMO it's worth it.

    Christina Aguilera topped herself again this time. I must say that I really enjoyed the album. It's her most cohesive album ever produced. This album shows her versatility. My favorite track is number 15. It's the best way to end an album. It was a cleansing moment hearing the song.

    I bought this album on iTunes, gosh all the single in this album are amazing. I think Christina Aguilera liberation album is amazing and truly masterpiece. None of her pairs have amazing art like Christina Aguilera. Everyone should download and streaming this album. I really amaze xtina give us Stripped, Back To Basic, Bionic and now Liberation. Those album are truly fantastic.

    I am so happy Xtina is back! I have been a fan since "Reflection" in 1998. This may be the Album of Summer '18.

    People expecting another Stripped need to let it go. There won't be another Stripped. That was 2002. Christina was still a girl then. She's a woman of 37 now. She couldn't possibly replicate Stripped even if she wanted to. And why would any true artist want to repeat herself?    I am so happy Xtina is back! I have been a fan since "Reflection" in 1998. Are you stuck in 2002?

    Stripped was iconic and special to millions of people. We will always have it as a touchstone. But don't count Christina or her subsequent albums out-- she's still got it and always has something interesting to offer.

    Lotus was hit and miss for me-- although Blank Page is a favorite of mine-- but Liberation has a flow and it's cohesive. And for those pining away for Stripped Part 2, Liberation has the same R&B/Soul flavor with Rapper collabs.

    This album should empower women and other disenfranchised people. Women can find Liberation through solidarity with other women, seeking their personal truth, and owning their sexuality.

    The best album of 2018 so far! After a six-year absence, Aguilera returned with a masterpiece. You have to listen to the whole album to understand the story of Liberation with some interludes setting up every chapter of the record. My favorite tracks would be: the Kanye-produced track featuring a young Michael Jackson singing on the chorus, Maria, the Julia Michaels and MNEK-cold trackThe best album of 2018 so far! My favorite tracks would be: the Kanye-produced track featuring a young Michael Jackson singing on the chorus, Maria, the Julia Michaels and MNEK-cold track Deserve that is perfect to listen to on rainy days, my future wedding song, Unless It's With You that can be a potential hit and wedding theme song if given the proper exposure, the dancey Accelerate that will make you pick up your speed, the 1980's True Colors-ish Masochist, reggae dancehall Right Moves that features a promising reggae rapper, the Anderson Paak-produced chill RNB song, "Like I Do" with a flute background (like seriously this is a BOP) and of course the female anthem with Demi Lovato, Fall In Line. Aguilera returned and proved she is a force to be reckon with. This album deserves all the success for the masterpiece it truly is.… Expand

    The Queen is back, every single song is amazing!! I have been a fan since genie in a bottle first came out so to have her back with songs that are so relatable especially during this time when our faith in the government, love, life is doubted this is a fresh breath of air to me.     Aguilera has gone through several stages of her life, where she has learned to free herself and have control of herself, this album simply reflects that, I love that she changes a bit and leaves her comfort zone, because he felt she was in another time with previous albums

    I remember when Stripped came out it gave me the voice I didn’t have or at least couldn’t find. It gave me so much to be thankful for, and after every album after that release I loved it but nothing quite did it for me like Stripped did. Then came Liberation it was the part 2 to Stripped the follow up, the mature version. It came in the perfect time for music because there’s really nothingI remember when Stripped came out it gave me the voice I didn’t have or at least couldn’t find. It gave me so much to be thankful for, and after every album after that release I loved it but nothing quite did it for me like Stripped did. Then came Liberation it was the part 2 to Stripped the follow up, the mature version. It came in the perfect time for music because there’s really nothing unique or authentic on the radio.     Xtina made sure that what she brought to our plate is something unconventional. This masterpiece cannot be beaten by other artists. She brought us to her world. The Intro was enchanting and the arranagement of the songs were put on a shelf correctly. The ending showed us how vulnerable Xtina is when talking about love. Indeed, it's worth waiting for. Chrissy for the win.

    Some people just spread hate and can't accept the fact that Christina Aguilera's work will always be ahead compared to the rest. The wait is definitely worth it. The Intro is just liberating + Track #2 is just awesome. Where is Maria is an outstanding piece of her. There are a lot of songs in this album that make others cringe. Slow clap for Miss Aguilera. You liberate the nation.

As a long timeAfter six years of "searching for Maria", Christina Aguilera found her liberty as a creative artist again. She redeemed herself from the failures of Lotus and, I hate to say, Bionic (but I will continue to defend the genius of that album and how true of her to say that it was ahead of its time) and delivered a sincere and powerful statement in her new record, Liberation. As a long time fan, I assumed I knew what I was in for—the raw vocals, the powerful lyric statements, the sensuality—and yes they were all there, but Aguilera managed to surprise me with the new dimensions of her vocals despite me knowing that she can SING ANY GENRE. The hip-hop, r&b (and even a touch of reggae) route she chose as path and the unique production that was arguably out of character for her in most of her albums (save for Stripped), really showed her authentic versatility. She has always been such a risk-taker and a true chameleon in the music industry never settling for the confines of a single one-dimensional genre (despite being a pop star, she has always expressed that pop music is her least favorite), the current fad and sought-out collaborators and producers. Listen to Stripped, Back to Basics, and Bionic in one sitting and you'd know what I mean.... I always try to be constructive with her music and I must say, Aguilera was able to pull all the right stops in this album. I do wish she added a real club banger, and another Lift Me Up ballad. I would love to hear the song(s) she and Linda Perry did that was not able to make it to the final cut. A deluxe edition, anyone? Anyway, tens, tens, tens across the board!… Expand

    The album brought me to a different world of Miss Aguilera. Not everyone is aware that she doesn't only sing, she tells a story and no one can do it better than herself. I love how the songs were arranged in a way that there was a beginning and a great ending.

    I'm not a huge fan of Aguilera or her pop peers but I freakin' enjoyed this album. Finally, not a lot of screaming, less whoah ohhhh yeaah and more of real fun music in this record. Good Job!

All the concept around the themes of liberation, freedom and liberty appear in different layers all placed into the well known Aguilera's universe, just like girl power, sexuality and boldness.     Liberation never reaches the heights fans likely wanted from Xtina, it serves as a pleasant refresher for a voice that has earned its place in the annals of pop history. That said, it’s a bit sad to feel like her finest moments are, at least for now, also in her past.
