goou2Jun 4, 2006i've heard the goo goo dolls from their superstar carwash album to gutterflower.. i agree to the other comments that they firgot how to play alternative music. let love in album is very far from their first cd's.. maybe they have to go back to their old scholl music.

TOLJun 5, 2006Disappointed to find such a 'quiet' album... none of the usual Big Machine or Flattop brilliance. The trademark hooks are still there and the title track has it's moments... but little more. I blame Glen Ballard- what were they thinking?

GooFanJul 20, 2006good solid songs and lyrics. musically very tight. however, not a CD you'd crank up...not a rock CD at all. Personally...I think Goo Goo Dolls are best when they're turning up the guitar and rocking. Also...too many guitars at the live show...Resnick seems uncomfortable without a guitar in his hand...but then that makes 3. Get back to rock.

MattD.Apr 26, 2006This album is pleasant soft rock. That alone is a reason for buying it - especially for Goo Goo Dolls fans such as I. It's a nice alternative to the James Blunts and Daniel Powters out there. But Let Love In is pretty much stripped of the Goo Goo Dolls' signature power pop. I expected more from this album.

Unlike its predecessor, there isn't much to dig into here; what you hear upon that first listen is exactly what you get.
-
Has its moments, but it comes across as a baby step forward.

BlenderOnly one song exhibits any nuance or creativity--a cover of Supertramp's 1977 lark "Give a Little Bit." [May 2006, p.106]
