    The expectations for this album were high and as always, J-Hope did not disappoint! The entire album is very cohesive and each track flows seamlessly with the next. Everything feels and sounds complete and well thought out, and Hobi's vocals are strong and pleasant to the ear throughout, no matter if he's floating on the melody of Equal Sign, or killing it on the gritty sound of Arson.The expectations for this album were high and as always, J-Hope did not disappoint! The entire album is very cohesive and each track flows seamlessly with the next.     Great album that has an interesting beginning of how it shows you its history and throughout the songs you discover their thoughts. From his own name to the evil of people. Of wanting more and wondering if he continues this path or stops. My favorite song is Future, I really connected with that song.

    O álbum é uma obra prima em todos os sentidos. Foi uma experiência grandiosa mergulhar na versatilidade que é o J-hope como artista. Cada música era mais surpreendente que a outra. Um álbum maravilhoso e com mensagens lindas. Foi ótimo conhecer um pouco mais de quem é Jung Hoseok através desse trabalho.

    This album is a timeless masterpiece. Insane how every track has a story on its own. It’s not your usual/typical k-pop sound, the genre varies from old school hiphop to r&b. j-hope is a legend and a league on his own.

    A brilliant old-school hiphop album recommended by the infamous critic Anthony Fantano, aka the Needledrop, even to kpop or bts haters. I think that says a lot and I could not agree more. Give it a try.

    Amazing album, it really showed what j-hope can do as a soloist. He really did something different and took risks with his debut album. Sonically, it's well produced and brings back the old hip-hop. The samples are legendary and we can see j-hope's current emotions through his awesome lyrics.

    I love this album, after his mixtape Hope World I was waiting excited for his next project and he did not disappoint. I love the 90s references, it feels so genuine how he showed his love and respect for the music he grew up dancing and listening to. My favorites tracks are What If, Equal Sign, Future and Pandora´s box.

J-hope's voice is so unique and intricate, especially in Jack in the Box, I felt he truly used it as an instrument full of manyyy different sounds, textures, and promises, but I'd like to really applaud the emotion in his voice & ways of using it, at no point at all does it feel "forced", awkward or unnatural.

    The lyrics felt very sincere, and actually pretty deep, I could relate to them a lot, not always because they reflect my own experiences but mostly because they feel very sincere. To me it felt like J-Hope as a person & an artist truly wants to engage with the world, not just live in it, but understand it deeply, and that's something I totally understand and found beautiful to write about in such a personal release. It's amazing to see lyrics that aren't just generic, both in their themes and actual phrasing, words, and metaphors, he knows how to bring creativity to his service ! Overall this is a no-skip album, and each song will be your favorite at some point or another I believe. The one I keep digging into relentlessly is MORE, but thats because I realllyyy love those guitars and the chorus and drums are just too delicious to not want to bop your head and shout

    Anyways ! I really recommend Jack In The Box to people who love music, especially if you're a punkhead, I think you'll find a lot of personnality, energy & heart poured into it, and also it really makes you wanna get out of your chair/head and just go to a concert & rock out, as a whole !    … Expand

    From the first song to the last song, high-quality storytelling stands out. Since it's a great album with organic qualities, I recommend you listen to it in order.I think it's better to listen to the whole album than just one song. It feels like I'm watching a movie or a book because it's connected to each other. Especially when the fire comes out at the end, it feels like it explodes.

    A true artist and hip hop lover. Every track is a true banger. I won't even consider myself the biggest hip hop fan, but Jhope and his members really do show us how great the genre is and how much they appreciate its roots. Equal sign and what if are personal favs of mine. Give the album a listen and experience greatness.

All the feelings, wishes and dreams are getting out of the box to face reality and give an introspective and more agressive and mature vision about identity, ambition, future and what we should pursue as individuals to reach the true hope world.

    Who would've thought that songs with so much angst like MORE & ARSON would come from the well-known sunshiny BTS member, j-hope?!?

    It really is a "Pandora's box" that once you listen to the first track, you can't & wouldn't stop listening 'til the end (chronologically) — as it paints an emotionally-driven rollercoaster that will peak your curiosity.

    Is this j-hope's (or should we say Jay's) rebellion against being always boxed into the cookie-cutter notion of what a typical K-Pop idol is?

    Or is this a personal catharsis that he was brave enough to share, despite it being extremely darker than the music we typically get from him?

    You'd be the judge. But just a friendly reminder...

    La verdad al escuchar More, que salió antes, me quedé sin palabras porque era totalmente diferente a sus mixtapes y a su estilo. Es una persona muy versátil y que sin duda no tiene miedo a experimentar, en mi opinión el álbum completo merece más reconocimiento del que tiene!

    This is the album that J-hope decided to show various sides of himself. It's very different and a good different for me. It's hard with rock elements, dark showing off a different personality other than the bright sunshine we're used to. He talks about his hard work, critics and people who have doubted him, I recommend giving it a listen.

    Surprisingly a different type of album. Love the message and fusion blend of hip hop and popular music. Intro gives a good insight of the beginning of j-hope. The outcome is a masterpiece album.

    El álbum contiene canciones increíbles, nunca escuché algo igual, por eso lo recomiendo al público porque hay sentimiento en cada pista musical, j-hope trabaja al detalle y es minucioso, logró un espectacular álbum, para mí uno de los mejores que he escuchado. Lo felicito.

    Excelente mezcla músical, un gran músico en potencia, rompiendo paradigmas de ser un Idol del K-Pop de la banda mundialmente reconocida 'BTS' , un género completamente distinto a lo ya conocido de J-hope, vale mucho la pena escucharlo. Gran joya músical!!

    j-hope is an amazing album with thoughtful meaning, Equal Sing as What If are song that will make you re-think your behavior, and Future as a warm and heartwarming song, I hope everyone could listen to this album and learn more about themselves as much as to learn about j-hope's artistry

    There’s an excellent three track run from “What if…,” an energetic song that samples Ol’ Dirty Bastard’s “Shimmy Shimmy Ya,” into mid-tempo standout “Safety Zone” before a touch of Hope World familiarity returns in the optimistic “Future.”
