    no effort put on lyrics, I don´t see talent and hard work, I see a good music producer that makes catchy beats, most of the songs sound the same, she own #1, because catchy music hit #1's, but I see zero talent and work on songwriting, and most sound very similar but with different artist collaborating

    Cardi B breaks out with a decent debut album that suffers from clunky and rushed production, and flows that seem ripped from other rap acts, yet gets a save for decent flows and lyrics, and guest verses that save this album.The Pinkprint outsold, what a copycat! Only Bodak Yellow is good, after this step of the whole album.

    I can’t respect this album nor this artist knowing she doesn’t write her own music. The only song that stick out was “Drip” and that’s only because of the Migos.

    One of the bests rap album of this century, the fact that she didn't write the songs is a fact that you forget hearing this album, the production and everything else just make you bop and forget about it, she's Cardi B, she's powerful, she's talented and the fact she isn't coming to play is killing people out there.

    If not solid, a good rap album. Due to the lack of success of albums by female rappers, this album got the hype. However its something which is not directly coming from Cardi. This is a trap album not a hip hop album with just the clubs kept in mind. It lacks authenticity but it definitely has a few club bangers!

    This is such a solid debut female rap album. This album shows Cardi as unfiltered and raw, but also soft and personal. I also like the diversity of the tracks because of this album’s use of rap, trap, r&b, soul, and latin trap music. This album is very strong and it deserves all the critical acclaim it is getting.

    OK I don't understand why so many people hate Cardi's music anyway. I think this album is fine. Cardi's music is fine. I listen to her songs whenever I workout at the gym and it's good. I like the production and Cardi's rapping style. I think it's good. My favorites on this album are "Ring", "I Like It", "I Do", and "Bodak Yellow"

With the odd song such as 'Thru Your Phone' being one of the deeper cuts of the album, it still doesn't redeem this album. I listened to this, and had no urge to replay it. A lot of the time, Cardi sounds like she is short of breath; almost as if she is fighting to get through the rest of her verses. I think Cardi might have a good 4-5 years of a stable career with hits, but if her sophomore album is anything like her debut; people will loose interest in her.

    The highlights of this album are it's collaborations, these make it more enjoyable to listen to it through, breaking up the solo songs because it gets tiring listening to Cardi sounding like she's about to strain at times.    … Expand

    This album might be good for a 5 year old’s birthday party - but it definitely doesn’t claim her throne as the ”Queen of rap”. The only good tracks on this album are ”I Like It” and ”I Do” where SZA’s vocals saves the song.

    Cardi B is a good rapper, however the productions and compositions are not on a rapper level. You listen to the first song on the album, and you do not realize that the music is changed because it's the same thing and the album is totally lost. Some songs that save, but I was disappointed about that! May the next album evolve greatly.

    A very strong album, however, there are many lapses. The album features many songs which could have been further promoted and end up taking away from the album rather than adding to it. Features could have been used to more extent, and the lyrics on some of the songs seem somewhat purposeless. The beats are very similar on each track, and this takes away from the album as a whole.     Every song and verse feels the same. At least with the reggaeton song (I Like It) and the pop attempts (Be Careful, Ring) the album feels like it isn't one really long song.

    El álbum empieza con un rap duro y directo, que no deja a nadie indiferente,cardi empieza contando su historia de superación y como dejo a todas las perras en el camino, lo único malo de esta es que en un momento se vuelve muy repetitivo pero de ahí todo bien. Bickenhead me parece la peor canción por muchas razones que no daré. bodak yellow es una obra maestra del rap, con una letra fuerte sin volverse ordinaria. be careful no fue escrita por cardi ¿como dices que tengan cuidado contigo si tu ni siquiera escribes la canción donde lo dices?.Best life es de las mejores del album pero ¿cardi no se arrepiente de nada? ni de la violencia que ejerció? mmmm. i like it te deja sin palabras, solo una divertida y bizarra colaboracion que no te deja ningun mensaje,ring cambia el sentido del album haciendolo aun mas confuso ¿que mensaje nos quiere dejar cardi? solo le doy 7 puntos porque no hay un mensaje claro y muchas veces se abusa de auto tune, pero letras y la producción audiovisual es perfecto.… Expand
