The praise this album is receiving is confusing to be, to be a true rapper you have to write your own raps. Taking into consideration Cardi has not written any of the raps on the album it is incredibly poor. Hype has won over talent in the case of this album. I very much doubt Cardi will have any kind of longevity.

This is the worst Rap / Hip & Hop album ever to come out of the current scene. Cardi proves that it is not good enough when the item is QUALITY and not SALES. Verses written by her boyfriend Offset, NO FLOW, generic songs. 0/10

This album was lack luster. Cardi could barely stand on her own on most track and needed features, and other samples to carry this album. She also had a large team of writers that takes away from the artistry of rap. This isn't pop or r&b, writing matters. Bodak Yellow carried the album.

The whole vibe and sound is very amateurish, weak "rap", the technique is lacking, it's like listening to a 5 year old rap, she did not write a word on it, and the lyrics ain't that great, although Money Bag & I Like It are cute bops

This album is a hot mess. If the album was designed to be a remix of Bodak Yellow, it worked 13 times. The thing that boggles me is that people have seriously considered this album to be "the greatest hip hop album of time". As if To pimp a Butterfly, The Marshall Mathers LP, Care for Me, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Scum F*ck Flower Boy,. and Channel Orange don't exist. Her effort, considering that she doesn't write her own lyrics, doesn't make her own beats, or really didn't take any attention to detail at all, she somehow screwed up her own album by just being her awful self. The only good thing i could possibly take away is SZA's vocals on some of the tracks, but otherwise this is pathetic. Expand

No new metaphors, a whole album just taljing about money and sex. I see that its a easy way to hit the chart with easy metaphors and generic flow. But this higly antecipated album should have been better

Didn't got the hype of this album. She just did what Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj did before her but worse. Not anything against subject matter cause I enjoy rap about sexuality, success and equality. She should just make better music about the subject she is currently doing.

Simplesmente horrível, raps completamente genéricos, nenhuma mudança de flow e o principal, nenhuma canetada da própria Cardi B. A única faixa boa é Get Up 10.

Cardi B is a trash rapper, has no talent, copy's nicki everytime, thinking she is the queen of rap but can hardly write a rap, uses payola for critics, sales, streams and radio. She grew fame coz atlantic saw nicki becoming a bigger by the day, so they used cardi as a pawn to destroy a legends career but they did not succed and now cardi looks dumb

The 2018 cultural zeitgeist is back with a monster album that encompasses the entire social media spectrum. Through it's 13-anthematic tracks, Cardi skids and skips through various 808s that process through the mind like arsenals. The all encompasing Cardi skirts over the future like she dodging bullets.

the album itself left a lot to be desired, some songs have almost the same beats of Bodak Yellow, it should innovate and not stay in the same. Money Bag is the copy of Bodak Yellow. OVERESTIMATED.

The album is good, but Cardi did not know how to balance the album's sound. It's like 13 songs, 4 are the difference and the rest looks the same. Cardi B has sinned in that, but the album is still good.

Get Up 10 and Bodak Yellow are the only strong songs. The rest are predictable trap beats, with uninspired bars (written by a ghostwriter) and no real content. Features are nothing special. Cardi's good for a verse on someone else's song, but I always suspected she couldn't carry a whole album herself. And I was right. A few good club songs but utterly forgettable.

All the people featured on the album did better than her. Khelani was so good that I wish that song was hers. She's so underrated but so talented. I was hoping Cardi would get better with the enunciation of words but I guess not. Not buying the album but I hope Khelani gets the shine she deserves.

Too repetitive. Some of the songs are really good, like Get Up 10, I Like It and the hit Bodak Yellow, but to be honest, this record is kind of... disappointing. I’m going to be honest here. I actually think Cardi B has one of the most iconic debut albums from a female rapper of all time. She came from virtually nothing, to something in such a short amount of space of time and she didn’t just slowly come up, she exploded onto the music scene. Her career just catapulted.

I think, and I could be wrong, but I think when Bodak Yellow went on to do so well, Cardi and her record label were under so much pressure in wanting to deliver such a great album. Being a female rapper, well, a female artist in general is actually a lot of work these days as you are always pitted against someone, in which, in Cardi’s case, she’s constantly pitted against Nicki Minaj, despite even working with each other.
Fortunately, Cardi and her team delivered because this album is going to be one of those albums in years to come that is iconic for not only laying down new foundations as a female rapper, but also laying down foundations for what looks like is going to be such a huge career.

This is just the start in Cardi’s career and I believe we’re going to see many big things from her. She’s humble, she doesn’t have an attitude towards other artists, she’s talented, and she knows what she’s doing. If she plays her cards right, she could be huge.

Well done Cardi for delivering a bomb ass album.

Too much of this album is simply 50 shades of Bodak, the appeal of which was never really apparent to me anyway. There are a few great tracks where Cardi B breaks from the monotony of the rest of the album, but they are too few to make up for the rest. This debut definitely shows promise, but in the end misses the mark much more often than it hits it.

    8. Ring ft. Kehlani, very cringeworthy and lacks meaningful lyrics 3/10
    9. Money Bag, a sad attempt to recreate Bodak Yellow 3/10
    10. Bartier Cardi ft. 21 Savage, this song was surprisingly good, I'm impressed 9/10
    11. She Bad, its bad also 1/10
    12. Thru Your Phone, its just not a good song sorry 2/10
    13. I Do ft. SZA, its good but way overhyped 6/10

Standout Songs are Bodak Yellow, Be Careful and I Like It

Overall: 5.3 (rounded down to 5) yes, it is a nice change to see more female rappers but she could have done better with half of these songs. She can make some good but that doesn't take away from the bad

Cardi B is merely the latest to appear into the mainstream, a position she is sure to occupy for some time, and with enough potential showing on her debut release to give hope to anyone listening that she can only get better from here.

Invasion of Privacy is filled with carefully crafted tracks which ably show her many sides. Cardi B knows who she is and where she came from and she isn’t trying to hide it from anyone.

Invasion of Privacy is a cohesive piece of work that demands to be heard in full, from front to back, side to side, on the pole and on the stove.
