As RM said, this is the last archive of his twenties. Indigo serves as a vessel for the-late-twenties years old Kim Namjoon's thoughts and realizations as he's entering his thirties. Unlike the lyrics from his first mixtape 'RM' which is filled with teenage-to-young adult rage and 'mono' which shows the melancholic side of his mid-twenties, Indigo feels rather lighter yet still holds the same depth and substance—if not more—compared to his previous albums. This shows how current Kim Namjoon has clearer vision about life thus he is more relaxed and in control of his individuality.
    Kim Namjoon certainly always had a clear vision and planned every single detail about his works, not every musician can do that even the experienced ones. His vision when it comes to BTS songs and concepts has catapulted BTS to success which is why he is one of the most admirable and respected musician in this decade.    … Expand

    All the music here is too good. Of course there are people with different tastes, but most of them think that this is art. I think so too. A mix of everything with a good flavor, Indigo is one of the best albums of 2022 Thank you RM.

    Indigo has no skiping songs. Its lyrics, rhythm and sounds are full of meaning and can relate with anyone in their 20s. It represents how we can chance through de course of the years and how our view of life keeps changing as we get older.

    A coming of age musical adventure. This album is the perfect harmonious treasure box. Jazz, R&B, City Pop: You have it all. Even though the album can not be categorized into ONE musical genre, the seamless transitions from one song to the next demonstrates RM's prolific songwriting and producing abilities.

    This is a very personal album to me. Such a wonderfully written piece. When listening to the songs from top to bottom, they tell RM's stories that feel so relatable to my own personal life. RM has produced, written and worked on so many great songs in the past and this album shows how much improvement he made in his career. I was never one to listen to Kpop- especially after listening to Fantastic Baby- and thought I would never venture into kpop again and that still remains true. Indigo, being fused with English and Korean, should be dominating the charts right now. The world had been experiencing and inclined of hate with social media spearheading it all and now it's easier to say something hateful than something kind spirited to a stranger. Indigo, in its entirety, seems to embody what is still good about being a human in this era of hatred. In other words, this album speaks to me as a human and I hope one day, we can all answer that call as a better human. This album deserves all the accolades an artist deserves for creating such a beautiful piece of work. 100/10 star review.… Expand

    I love this album. There aren’t many albums where I’ve loved each and every song on it. RM is an incredible songwriter and it shows in his music. Even the collaborations on this album are brilliant. His talent really shines through on this album and I hope that many more people listen to it and appreciate it the way so many people already do.

    I said this is one of my group chats about INDIGO/RM.

    The best way I can describe the album is that it is one huge musical Mood Ring (remember those?).

    Whatever mood you are feeling, there’s a corresponding song for it. The whole album is a rollercoaster of moods and emotions and I, for one, take a great many things from such an amazing and beautiful soul.

My favorite songs are Closer, Wild flower, No. 2, and Forg_tful. Reading the lyrics feels like a journey and I interpreted the whole album as Kim Namjoon finding his peace of mind after feeling so lost in Mono and feelingOnce again, RM gave us another beautiful album.     This album is one of my favorites. Each track is brilliant. I cried listening to it the first time. RM has the rare gift of weaving emotion through a song. It has a more mellow “blue gray” vibe to much of it which is beautiful. Lonely, No.2, and Closer are my favorite.

    Álbum debut en solitario de RM, miembro de BTS. Destaco el gran empeño y excelente trabajo que ha hecho. Los variados artistas con los que colaboró le permitieron darnos una obra de arte. Distintos géneros con letras profundas pero directas que, en gran parte, me quedaron rondando en la cabeza durante mucho tiempo.

    Indigo is a masterpiece, full of melodies and lyrics capable of warming your heart and protecting your soul. Namjoon's wonderful work and effort is reflected in his album. Without a doubt, it is one of my favourites.

    One if the best albums out there. It’s soulful, deep, amazing instrumentals & beat. It feels like a sunny spring day with no clouds in the sky and nothing to worry about. My favorite one is definitely Closer & Wild Flower. RM did an amazing job!!

    Indigo is one of the best albums I’ve ever heard. It’s super well structured and it tells a beautiful story when you listen to all the songs in order. I admire RM’s sincerity and openness which you can feel thru all the songs. Definitely a masterpiece.

    Un album muy bien logrado, con los sentimientos de Namjoon plasmados en cada letra. Con colaboraciónes que estan al nivel, lo puedo escuchar todo el día, a cualquier hora mientras hago mis actividades, justo como él nos lo recomendo. Calificacion 100/100
