I feel as though Endless Forms Most Beautiful serves as the foundation for the next era of Nightwish and this newest record sends us right into another galaxy within their musical universe.

    Once again, Nightwish have come together to create an hour and 17    Human. :II: Nature. is an epic musical journey. it continues to build upon themes that were explored in Endless Forms Most Beautiful. I feel as though Endless Forms Most Beautiful serves as the foundation for the next era of Nightwish and this newest record sends us right into another galaxy within their musical universe.

    Once again, Nightwish have come together to create an hour and 17 minutes of sheer, unparalleled musical genius. Human. :II: Nature.

    I wouldn't trust some of the low critic reviews, either they had a brief listen through before writing or they don't possess the ear for pure musical quality that is required to fully immerse yourself in the masterpieces from the mind of Tuomas Holopainen. Just like having an eye for art, you need to have the ear for quality. Something we all dont possess. I do understand some people may be disappointed if they were expecting it all to be heavy metal, but that is no Nightwish anymore. They have evolved past genre restraints.

    Furthermore I believe this album can not be judged with just one play though. It takes time for our brains to adjust. First play though we generally only hear the top levels, second play though we hear more, and so on getting deeper and deeper. I recommend listening through a great set of headphones as you can really hear all the depths you might miss listening though regular speakers. The sheer number of instruments blows my mind away.

    I love how Nightwish is evolving. Getting deeper and more epic as time goes by. I loved their instrumental versions from previous albums, actually preferring them over the originals in some cases. I can get lost in all their instruments. So it is natural that I really enjoyed this album. No pun intended.

    Never have i heard an album where Symphony and Metal were at eye level. This is the perfect lovechild from the two strongest music genres in the world and one of the best albums i have ever heard in my life! Just dont expect symphonic metal as you know it!

    Nightwish hat mit Human:Nature ein sehr besonderes Album abgeliefert. Im ersten Moment erscheint es etwas untypisch und kurz. Schließlich sind es, wenn man die zweite CD mit eher beiläufigeren Soundtracks nicht mitzählt nur 9 Songs, unter denen der längste (für Nightwish-Verhältnisse) auch nur knapp über 7min geht. Jedoch bietet das Album beim öfteren Hören und genauerer Betrachtung sehrNightwish hat mit Human:Nature ein sehr besonderes Album abgeliefert. Im ersten Moment erscheint es etwas untypisch und kurz. Schließlich sind es, wenn man die zweite CD mit eher beiläufigeren Soundtracks nicht mitzählt nur 9 Songs, unter denen der längste (für Nightwish-Verhältnisse) auch nur knapp über 7min geht. Jedoch bietet das Album beim öfteren Hören und genauerer Betrachtung sehr viel. 9 extrem durchdachte Songs, die alle ins Konzept machen und für sich gesehen, wie auch am Stück Spaß machen. Highlights sind insbesondere die Hit-Single Noise, der brachiale Opener Music, das an Pirates of the Caribean erinnernde Pan, sowie Endlessness als mehr als würdiger Abschluss, bei dem dann auch Marco Hietala, der auf diesem Album mehr und mehr Troy Donnockley Platz bietet sein Können unter Beweis stellt. Produziert ist das Album wie gewohnt weltklasse und die gesanglichen, sowie instrumentalen Leistungen lassen nichts zu Wünschen übrig. Alles in allem ein spezielles, aber durchaus starkes Album. Wenn es auch nicht das stärkste der Band sein mag ist es trotzdem noch ein extrem gelungenes Werk und eines der besten (wenn nicht das beste) Alben 2020 geworden.… Expand

    Perfeito! Álbum primoroso, as quatro primeiras faixas mostram a tamanha qualidade do trabalho deste grupo! Por não serem americanos não tem o reconhecimento de uma grande banda. Tuomas é um compositor inigualável. Floor Jansen é uma das melhores vozes do rock! Banda perfeita!

    Ultimately, in the overall sweep of Nightwish's rich and varied discography, Human. :||: Nature. comes across as more of a minor note than a magnum opus.

    Though the work seems part and parcel of the Nightwish aesthetic, on its own it may not appeal to all fans. That said, it does add depth and dimension to Human. :II: Nature. which is, with one exception, a consistently and deeply satisfying outing that was worth waiting for.

    They rely on their own successful turbo-operatic formula for large sections of this 80-minute-plus double album, and from the moment five minutes in when Music gets over its overtures and bursts into anthemic flame, the blend of guttural riffing, machine-gun bass drum and Floor Jansen’s perennially startled soprano is always captivating.
