the album does have 3/4 songs that will go down in history but it is not good as an album and most songs are fillers.... it’s not cohesive and half of the songs are at best mediocre.

    fav songs: cyber sex, rules

least fav: shine, better than me

This was..... odd. I didn’t understand most of the words she said, on top of that the mixing just seemed off

Although Doja Cat is starting to slightly mature in her style, she still can't make anything better than a hit-or-miss record.

Not everything on Hot Pink is a knockout, but the experimentation results in some amazing standouts and other songs that are still fun or intriguing, even if they're not as memorable.

“Hot Pink” doesn’t show an evolution of Doja Cat artistically or musically. The production from the likes of Tyson Trax, Yeti Beats and even the famed Saleem Remi is as slick as her debut, but also just as saccharine as her debut.

Though there are moments where a new tone or inflection runs the risk that Doja might be mistaken for someone else, the album’s anchor in her R&B and soul background creates a tender space for her to stack and reveal her layers. Hot Pink doesn’t demand that Doja figure out the totality of her sound right now.
