Last year Demi Lovato released their 7th studio album, Dancing with the Devil…The Art of Starting Over, and it was a hippie/dream pop 19 track album. But nearly a year later, Lovato announces they will be returning to their rock roots. A complete 180 from the pervious album, Lovato delivers on a rock and roll promise giving us tracks like FREAK, EAT ME (featuring Royal and the Serpent), HEAVEN, and HELP ME (featuring Dead Sara) which would never be found in the previous stoner-esque album. HOLY FVCK is a trip into Lovato’s demons and shows how the music can help them cope with all they have going on. Standout tracks: Happy Ending, Wasted, Feed, & Eat Me. 10/10 album.… Expand

I don’t like how she easily move on from her old eras saying things like, “I was not that person”, but somehow there’s a new blood, new violent beauty, new version of her old ghosts in these 16 songs that I almost cried. I’m always send love to her work and life and thisI admit that I’m not Lovato’s fan anymore, but I also had to admit it: “Holy Fvck” is one of her best albums so far. Demi Lovato has always been a great singer and it shows, this album came out to prove her versatility and confirm that there’s nothing she cannot do. “Holy Fvck” is basically one of her albums yet. The album is a complete body of work to all the rock lovers. Lovato has delivered vocals, sonority and lyrics, the perfect match she could do. Happy Ending, 29, Feed and 4 Ever 4 Me stands as the standouts of the album. She was born to do this and she’s killing it.

It’s a full album where you can feel angry, sad and love at the same time!     The mix is also nice, loved the use of some vocal effects to level up the songs.
    Demi's voice is the correct voice for rick, we truly had missed her here. Can't choose my favorite yet, but substance and eat me are on my top.     If anything, Holy Fvck proves that maybe it was Lovato’s pop albums that were the fluff, and this is the substance they’ve been looking for.

    Holy Fvck has its flaws – Lovato’s powerful voice is unnecessarily finessed and Auto-Tuned, and 16 tracks is too long. But its gutsy ambition is a thing of substance in and of itself.
