    Higher Truth ironically doesn’t strive for anything higher. It stakes its claim in the rich soils of the middle ground, a place that values intimacy above innovation, quiet truths above the ones that scream. And it’s all the better for it.

    After collaborating with Timbaland, this album seems like a real blessing! The tracks go well together and there are some radio friendly tracks in there as well such as "Nearly forgot my broken heart", "Higher truth" and "Our time in the universe".… Full Review »

    Higher Truth is an excellent record by one of the best vocalists of the past thirty years. Chris Cornell received lots of success on his Songbook tour and I enjoyed the live album that was recorded during those shows, but I was not expecting him to take the thought any further. Higher Truth is a nice easy listen that is also a breath of fresh air. I was a little worried that Cornell would be trying to do a Neil Young impression throughout this album but that is not the case. He created his own sound for this album and he has written some of his best lyrics in a long time for this album. I like the idea to go back to bare bones after he definitely overproduced Scream. The one thing that drags Higher Truth down is that I find that later on in the album there are a couple songs that are not as strong after the first 8-9 songs were consistently great. I think that this album maybe should have been 10 songs instead of 12 but I do recommend it. One of my favorite albums this year.… Full Review »
