Listen to this one more than once and you will be hooked!!!!! Sorta makes you want to go to a Cracker Barrel and ask, "Do you serve fruits?"

Some of my favorite pop/rock in a long long time. The writing and especially the production are superior to his last record, "The Heat." This one gets better with each spin.

Perhaps his highest energy recording to date.

Some songs are really great "Broken Radio" and "Don't let them take you Down" especially but the album suffers a bit from a few weak tracks and isn't as strong overall as "The Heat" or "The Fine Art of Self Destruction". Still much better than 95% of the music being made today.

  1. Malin has seemingly adopted the persona and sound of his New Jersey counterpart Bruce Springsteen.

Despite a top-drawer guest list, this often feels like empty bombast. [Mar 2007, p.98]

His best release ever. [Apr 2007, p.190]
