It being a 10 song record means it’s nice complete record which keeps you listening through the whole thing. Brilliant writing and captivating melodies. Definitely Boys Will Be Boys is the best song on the record and Good In Bed is the weakest less appealing one… Expand

    Es un álbum explorativo de la música insignia de los 70’s, 80’s, 90’s y principios de los 2000 en lo cual nos presenta una vista actualizada para que remembráramos todos estos sonidos. La forma en que se explora diferentes géneros y estos mismos se mezclan con una producción musical diferente cada canción es exquisito y sin duda alguna le da el paso a algo más maduro con lo cual ella nosEs un álbum explorativo de la música insignia de los 70’s, 80’s, 90’s y principios de los 2000 en lo cual nos presenta una vista actualizada para que remembráramos todos estos sonidos.     This album is pure pop. It's an album that should come off as boring and unoriginal but somehow manages to be the exact opposite. Every track is well-placed and none are superfluous. Definitely one of the best albums that I have listened to in 2020. Certainly an album that I will be replaying time and time again.

    This would be a perfect 10 and my favorite album of 2020 if it was not for "Boys Will Be Boys". Such a weird turn in the tracklist. Stars know it's okay to have the last track on the album NOT be a slow ballad, right?

    This Album is really cohesive and has great 80’s-90’s disco synth pop with a modern twist. Evrey single track fits perfectly in the theme of this album. Dua Lipa managed to produce onw of the best works of this year. Evrey song on this album has great replay value. She managed to prove her true talent. Her vocal talent on songs like “Love Again” and her Lyrical talent on songs like “BoysThis Album is really cohesive and has great 80’s-90’s disco synth pop with a modern twist.     With Lipa's sultry smooth vocals, synthy production and stupidly infectious singles tied with sumptuous visuals create one of the best albums of the year thus far. Mixing pop, R&B and disco, Lipa creates the perfect recipe for a Grammy... even Dua herself was aware of the cultural impact of this album - it will indeed be future nostalgia.

    after listening to it the night it came out. i just thought of it as a regular album. NOW ITS AMAZING. i can honestly say there isn’t ONE bad song. my favourite track is cool, because of the beat and the chorus. my favourite single would definitely have to be a tie between don’t start now and physical. i was also extremely upset when dsn didn’t hit number one, because it was definitely theafter listening to it the night it came out. i just thought of it as a regular album.     Future Nostalgia is extremely disjointed and all over the place, but is made up for with the handful of amazing tracks.

    This album is written so perfect. Almost each song can be a potential single. The conception of "Future Nostalgia" is magnificently attractive, sometimes we all need a bit of nostalgia but with a future perspective. Dua Lipa & her team gave us these feelings and emotions. Such a great album!

Any comments on blandness, being too generic, uninteresting have been completely nullified by this stunningly successful exploration of 80's disco pop. Like God damn, this album is good. From the addictive baselines in Don't Start Now, Pretty Please and Break My Heart, to the Jackson 5 influencedFuture Nostalgia represents a massive glow up from her already pretty good, self-titled debut. Any comments on blandness, being too generic, uninteresting have been completely nullified by this stunningly successful exploration of 80's disco pop. Like God damn, this album is good. From the addictive baselines in Don't Start Now, Pretty Please and Break My Heart, to the Jackson 5 influenced Levitating, to the pure energy of tracks like Physical and Hallucinate - this album is everything a pop fan could ask for. But, the greatness of the first 9 tracks is what makes the average-ness of the last 2 so painful. Good In Bed is too crass and teenagery to be enjoyable, and Boys Will Be Boys is a cringey attempt at a female empowerment anthem. I'd be tempted to recommend putting the first 9 tracks into a playlist and tacking on a couple tracks from her first album to the end to close it off, because those last couple songs kind of ruin the listening experience for me. However don't get me wrong, this is almost a perfect album to me - and I'm not sure Dua could ever top this.… Expand

    This album lives up to it's name!! The album is in fact nostalgic. Every song on the album has a different sound. Physical and Pretty Please are my personal favorites of the album. This is album of the year material.

    Ok I have listened to it several times and it is an excellent album but it does not fit the concept of this tragic year, something more melancholic and reflective is needed.
    I hope their songs can be danced in 2021 when the quarantine ends.

    The album as a whole gives you that of nostalgic feeling hence the album title. The tracks are heavily influced by 80's - 90s music and the diva of those times as well. While it has that nostalgia, it still sounds fresh to the ear thus enjoying every listening session.

    A huge step for dua lipa from her debut album. she perfected the art of writing and producing a full sonically cohesive album inspired by 70s/80s disco pop music that gives this album its flare and charisma similar to what other pop female icons have done in the past (ie Taylor Swift's 1989 and Carly Rae Jepsen's emotion) . i enjoyed it every step of the way and youll surely be too

    I just loved this album. It perfectly embodies the current era of pop music, which is highly influenced by 70s, 80s and 90s sounds. There are only a couple of songs I’m not crazy to listen to again but overall it’s one of the best albums of 2020 so far.

    La producción retro es variada y atrapante, en general creo que este álbum puede hacer olvidar los problemas de cada uno, aun si sea durante un corto tiempo. Me gusto bastante (a pesar de que en ocasiones sentí la letra repetitiva).

    Sem dúvidas é um verdadeiro álbum pop/dance,tudo que precisávamos de um artista pop. Possui hits fáceis do início ao fim. Mas a produção fica um pouco cansativa,em determinados momentos, e possuir alguns fillers.

    Each single which was released helped to build the hype, and made me a fan of Dua and was the first album of hers I had listened to. All the tracks were great and flowed. However, didn't really like Good in bed too much. But overall as an album spot on.

    Some hits, like two or three made this album relevant in 2020. While it is not the best vocal performance or production, it can make people want to move their knees a little. Very commercial with poor lyric enthusiasm. Being the it girl of the moment saved this album from flopping hard I think. Kids choice awards worthy.

    I like 3 songs on this record and what makes me love them is the only beat. I actually like how she changes her vocals in every song.

    FUTURE NOSTALIGA REVIEW

    1. Future Nostalgia - Great sound that sticks out from the rest of the album, but not to much for it not to fit in. Very strong album opener and the lyrics are amazing! 8/10 2. Don't Start Now - I love the bass and the pre-chorus and the contrast between that part and the chours. I love the lyrics.     3. Cool - a sad sounding 80's/synthpop song but with happy lyrics. The sound sticks out, but the song itself is not as strong as many of the other songs on this album.

    4. Physical - a 80's synthpop BANGER! I love it, but it kinda aged and it's a bit overrated. Strong single choice

    5. Levitating - at my first listens, the song was good but not one of my faves. Now, the song has def grown on me and it's one of my faves from the album!

    6. Pretty Please - I LOVE IT!! i love the lyrics, the soft and breathy vocals and the bass.

    7. Hallucinate - one of the weaker songs on the album, in my opinion. It's not a skip, but not a song that I am eager to listen to. The chours is the best part.

    8. Love Again - I dont know why, but at my first listen I hated this song, but now... this song is probobly my fave from the album. The lyrics, the beautiful strings and everything about this song is amazing. I love it so much!! The sample in the song gives it a nostalgic touth. AN UNDERRATED BOP!

    9. Break My Heart - I love this song so much! I fell in love with it already on the first listen! l love the contrast and unexpecpted breaks in the beat, her vocals and the clever lyrics. It did kinda age but not to much!

    10. Good In Bed - I really love the beat and the sad and releateable lyrics. It's a really strong song, but the chours' melody kinda throws me off and the reason why it's rating is lower.

    11. Boys Will Boys - A feminist song with a good message. I love the strings and the arrangement of the song. The song's lyrics are kinda cheesy. The song doesnt really fit to end the standrad version of the album and it really dont have a 70's/80's throwback vibe. A skip sadly. the song is short tho :)

    12. Levitating (ft. Da Baby) - we didn't need this collab to be honest. Da Baby's rap in the second verse destroys and dont fit the song...

    13. Fever (with Angéle) - THIS COLLAB THO! i am obsessed with this song, it's unreal. My second fave of the album, even though it dont really fit the album. I find that okay tho beacuse it's a bonus track. The vocals and production, I LOVE IT. Angéle's parts are amazing and french suits the song so good.

    Bops, sure. Lyrically, nah, very boring. Dua needs to step up her game. She's obviously very big on streaming but not quite in terms of pure sales

    Very repetitive rhythms, the main singles were well picked but most of the remaining songs on the album are a skip to me.

    Make no mistake, her risks are still very within the context of a 4/4 pop structure, but she still finds such color and joy in her surroundings it's hard not to get swept up in her energy. Such risk-staking, however, can still lead to a few moments that could've used a bit more polish.
