The formula is executed well, while the production and songwriting keep the Australian four-piece ahead of any imitators. ... Yes, new music is good to have and good to experience, but when the tunes become interchangeable that notion starts to feel hollow.

A meditative, inward-looking affair, Freeze, Melt is best heard after a big night in. [Sep 2020, p.91]

The result is an album that appears caught between modes, playfully riding cascading synths even as it lyrically subsumes itself in dourness.

This album is a mellow synth pop fantasy from start to finish. Melodic, reflective and absolutely gorgeous.
