Great album but extremely overhyped. Not the invention of the alternative pop genre. The songs are good and the album overall is cohesive but I found it to be lacking variety. Some songs felt familiar to others and lyrics are too cryptic sometimes. Overall an enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Best album of 2020. The lyrics are masterpieces. The story-telling is captivating. And the music is so charming and peaceful. It’s like a lullaby which ease your soul and warm your feelings in the coldest days.

Aburrido y repetitivo.

    Talking about “#folklore”
*This is my first time writing a comment for an album, so I’m just taking my personal perspective. It may be different from your opinion, so don’t take it serious

Honestly I was totally suprised by this album because its release is quite unexpected. And even though I know Taylor has always been a good storyteller but I was still impressed by her poetic lyrics which makes feel like "Folklore" is not just a beautiful album but also like a short and exquisite novel. It is really incredible to see Taylor exploring brand new styles of music. folklore is very different from what she has done before, but still got the typical Taylor Swift vibes---the exquisite emotions in the lyrics. This album in general is just really heart touching, and incredibly suited to live during the covid-19 epidemic. Definitely one of the best albums of 2020.

I really liked this album, it's my favourite of hers and probably one of my favourites of all time. I think its her most cohesive work so far. All the songs feel different, yet have a similar enough sound to give them a collective identity. The lyrics are simple but really beautiful, and the music is nothing alike anything in any of her other songs. The slower tempo really compliments her…I really liked this album, it's my favourite of hers and probably one of my favourites of all time. I think its her most cohesive work so far. Más pop comercial de Taylor sin sentido. Esperemos que se busque otro novio para que saque otro disco de despecho.

It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
