Taylor delivered the best job of his career. Cohesive, sweet, sad, smooth and chaotic. Beautiful lyrics, pleasant and complementary melodies. Taylor proved that her success comes not just because her story is told in the songs, but because she is a good songwriter. It's not just her story, it's the way she touches our hearts

I personally think that when Safe and Sound was released as a soundtrack for The Hunger Games, Taylor Swift should do this direction after Red. While Red undeniably cemented Swift's stature as a master songwriter through deep cuts like All Too Well and The Last Time, the record still was "radio-safe" by including tracks like 22, WANEGBT, and I Knew You Were Trouble. Swift's records have always had that a couple of tracks that deviate from the entire mood of the album. (Take Call It what You want in reputation and Soon You'll Get Better in Lover). folklore in comparison is her most cohesive album yet, and her best one that highlights hr skill in writing lyrics.

Na chwilę obecną do gustu przypadły mi: the 1, cardigan, exile, my tears ricochet, mad woman. Całość: 7/10

Jack, too, is present and accounted for on “Folklore,” to a slightly lesser extent, and together Antonoff and Dessner make for a surprisingly well-matched support-staff tag team. Swift’s collabs with the National’s MVP clearly set the tone for the project, with a lot of fingerpicking, real strings, mellow drum programming and Mellotrons. You can sense Antonoff, in the songs he did with Swift, working to meet the mood and style of what Dessner had done or would be doing with her, and bringing out his own lesser-known acoustic and lightly orchestrated side. As good of a mesh as the album is, though, it’s usually not too hard to figure out who worked on which song — Dessner’s contributions often feel like nearly neo-classical piano or guitar riffs that Swift toplined over, while Antonoff works a little more toward buttressing slightly more familiar sounding pop melodies of Swift’s, dressed up or down to meet the more somber-sounding occasion.

this album marks the return of "i lived in your chess game but you changed the rules everyday" Taylor Swift. the kind of hurt you thought have been buried long ago. the kind of hurt that shouldn't even exist but somehow lingers like an apparition in the air. the lyrics and melodies make you long for memories that you've never had and might never even experience, but that's the beauty ofthis album marks the return of "i lived in your chess game but you changed the rules everyday" Taylor Swift. the kind of hurt you thought have been buried long ago. the kind of hurt that shouldn't even exist but somehow lingers like an apparition in the air. the lyrics and melodies make you long for memories that you've never had and might never even experience, but that's the beauty of her songwriting - she makes you believe that you are the one relieving the memories. truly one of a kind storyteller this generation has ever seen. Her best lyrics. This album is so raw and authentic. Her songwriting and lyricism really stands out and can not compare with today's singers. She's a legend and this is her best album.

Taylor Swift is a poet. She didn’t have to think about what song could be played in the radio or how the tour would be like. She just wrote songs how she liked them and it turned out to be perfect. The songs and stories are so emotional and brilliant!

One of the best alb- ... Actually the best album i've ever heard. It is a lyrical genius and poetry at its best. I think this album is the best thing Taylor Swift has ever done. Her imagination and creativity have reached at apex.

I just loved this album. It's amazing how easily Taylor Swift can change. First the Country album, then the Pop and now the Alternative? Impressive! Congratulations!

This album is defined as a mystical masterpiece, is just amazing, gorgoeus, deep, lovely and meaningful. Taylor has evolve great by expressing how she truly wants and does it with music. Making in it an Art out of her life. Her contributions did an amazing job here too, I love it when this powerful musician work together and does stunning work like this.

This is a conversation where a single word or sentence breaks you down, the context always makes you feel the daggers hidden in an intriguingly personal reflection. The more you listen the clearer the whole story becomes. A bottled feeling of quarantine that burst yours down.

It's a sharp turn to the left for Swift and a fine reminder that she is more than just a gleaming pop phenomenon, but a remarkable songwriter too. [Oct 2020, p.36]

A modern-folk masterpiece which finds her moving from her previous pop bangers into stunningly simple yet sharp melodies, ‘folklore’ will be going down in Swiftie history as one of her most unexpected, and undoubtedly one of her best.

These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
