    In my opinion Taylor’s best work yet. I’m a sucker for indie, so to see Taylor work with my heroes from that neighborhood of the “genre” spectrum has been a dream and I am very grateful to have this in my music library. Her songwriting is at its best, the melodies are haunting and captivating, the aesthetics mesmerizing. I can’t praise this enough

    perfect albums! I really liked this album, it's my favourite of hers and probably one of my favourites of all time. I think its her most cohesive work so far. All the songs feel different, yet have a similar enough sound to give them a collective identity.

    These 16 tracks (17 on the deluxe version) play out quite pleasurably in their entirety, the joins between Swift, Dessner and Antonoff ultimately only of niche interest. But Swift’s powerful songs reach their climaxes with bittersweet orchestrations, rather than blows to the solar plexus or a ringing in the ears. Everything hovers; little truly lands.
