A full length debut album by Kim Petras was something that i wasn't expecting this year. But this is a great dance/[pop album and a incredible feature with Nicki MInaj

This is a huge step for Kim Petras. I loved the whole album and the concept. The dance beats are so fun and catchy. My least favorite song though had to be Sex Talk.

Great pop album - everything you'd expect from Kim Petras at this point of her career.

It may not be the most coherent album, but each song is a banger, the write is amazing and luckily we have ''Revelations'' and'' Hit it From the back'' out there! It would be amazing have ''Your Time to Cry'', ''Left my Body'' or even ''Somber''

I loved this album, it reminds me of Clarify, and it's great for me because it's my favorite. Revelations, BAIT, and Sex Talk are my favorites, a really good pop to listen to.

During the last few years, Kim Petras has tried to get rid of the "promising singer to rise" label, but this work doesn't exactly help her to show her true personality or to define herself as an artist, as it's full of generic songs that could belong to any current white pop singer like Ava Max, Rita Ora or Zara Larsson. Within “Feed the Beast” we find dancing and fun songs but as a whole we aren't facing a memorable work that will be part of the lists of the best of the year. Expand

Its so frustrating. This album contains some absolute gems, definitely the best pop music album I've listened to in the past decade, look at the producer list and you'll know why it slaps. Keep up the good work Kim! 10/10! Expand

The biased critics desperately want you to believe this album is a colossal failure. It suffers from poor track placement, sure, and the inclusion of songs like Coconuts and Unholy undermine its potential, but it's nonetheless a solid pop album that brilliantly showcases Kim's talents. "Claws" and "Minute" especially are career highlights.

Petras has become a sort of punching bag ever since a certain producer's legal predicament. It's interesting that she's vehemently demonised for working with said producer (who, importantly, has not been found guilty of a crime) but her peers who do the same are not.

Kim has released an album with banging singles, and album tracks that could have easily been lead singles too. In a time where pure pop music as such is declining, Kim has executed the job very well and brought back the excitement. Album standouts are definitely Alone, Uhoh and King of Hearts, but then again most of the other tracks will still be in generous rotation.

So disappointing. The fact that she proudly says that this mediocre release is her debut album makes it even worse when we've listened to Clarity and the Turn Off The Lights projects and they're by far much better than whatever this is.

Definitely the strongest pop record this year. Expand

Tracks produced by Billboard, Cirkuit, Kirkpatrick & The Monsters & Strangerz make Kim sound fresh, those really impressed me.
Tracks produced by Dr. Luke felt plain and sounded the same as Clarity and Turn Off the Lights
Judge the art, not the artist, and Dr. Luke should slowly exit Kim Petras's executive production.

It's not cohesive but the songs are bangers and whoever says otherwise has either not listened to the album AT ALL or is just deaf.

Parece um álbum de descarte das músicas da Ava Max. O que faz o álbum ser bom, porém, definitivamente não parece a Kim Petras em momento algum.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Screw what you heard. Kim is the latest member of pop music’s royal family. Granted this debut is a melting pot of collaborative efforts throughout her rising career; but there is cohesion and vision in Petras’ candid lyrical delivery. Kim induces modern synth house in mainly all tracks. The collaborations that the German star adds on with BANKS & Nicki spin a unique voice for Petras, all while showing off her talents in singing and songwriting. Expand

This is definitely the album of the summer. Unapologetic, entertaining and bold. 'King of Hearts', 'uhoh', & 'Hit it From the Back' are pop gems meant to dance and sing your heart off. Kim doesn't deserve the targeting and hate she is getting.

Kim shines in true pop form on Feed The Beast. Even in it’s like slower paced moments like “Thousand Pieces”, “BAIT (feat. BANKS)” & “Alone (feat. Overall this album does feel like more of a compilation of Kim’s best attributes as a Pop artist rather than it telling a “story”, however, that’s not such a bad thing. The way the album moves from start to finish keeps it feeling cohesive and the mix of tracks works in its favour. Is this a full conceptual album with a hidden deeper meaning lurking beneath? No. But it doesn’t have to be in order to be a ‘good’ Pop album; it’s nice to escape into a world of fun every now and then, and Kim certainly knows how to take her listeners there. Expand

Also rife with a bubbly, '70s funk groove is "Coconuts," whose cheeky, double entendre lyrics not only celebrate Petras' Queer identity, but speak to the playfully flirty, tongue-in-cheek atmosphere she achieves throughout Feed the Beast.

Of course, even the weaker songs have their dance-floor potential. Petras is, above all else, a pure fan of pop music and the feeling it exudes. But in chasing her new status as the type of pop star who has Top 40 potential, she abandoned the freakishly forward-thinking personality that built her a base to begin with. Here, the beast has been tamed.
