Do you love sick beat drops? Then you'll probably love Skrillex's new album. .... The diversity here is astonishing, if at times schizophrenic.

A victory lap, the most fun “I told you so” you’ll probably ever hear. The title is a red herring, because no one would confuse Sonny Moore for an artist like Andy Warhol. He’s just Skrillex, writing some of the most ridiculous dance music ever made and making even purists fall for the wubs. If that’s not Pop Art, I don’t know what is.
  3. Admittedly, many of the techniques Skrillex uses in his transitions haven’t aged well. There are only so many sped-up snares and risers you can listen to without thinking of that one Lonely Island sketch (or this hilarious Soundcloud mix). But the drops are so worth it – and in a post-hyperpop world, it’s even more impressive that they still manage to make so much impact, like on the long-awaited ‘Voltage’, or the grinding halftime banger ‘San Diego VIP’.

The music follows itself along, one tune blending cleanly or mischievously into the next, a beginning-to-end journey in sound that unveils new details over many plays. The pauses in the onslaught count as much as the sheer array of sound bites cutting through the production.

If you already know where you stand on this guy's music, then you already know whether or not it's worth your time.
