this album is a portrayal of Beyonce and Jay z 's world. through this album you can hear the anger, the love they have for each other. they also have the ability to weave real word topics in their music. they battle topics such as the athlete's protests to the incarceration of black men in such a simple way. they have truly cultivated a timeless album.

this entire album was excellent, every song was a bop and the lyrics held such power. following Lemonade and 4:44 this album was really fitting, like a final chapter in the trilogy, and a new beginning at the same time - they're really on top of the world right now!!!

This is a quality album. The more you listen to it the more powerful it becomes. Summer, Friends, and 713 are probably my favorites. I've seen the ugly comments left by people who are offended at how unapologetic Beyonce and Jay are for their success and I'm not even bothered because I know they can't even hear that mess.

I love how the previous Beyoncé and Jay-Z albums glimpses a strained marriage on both sides but showed a reconciliation exhibition on Everything is Love Album. I love how they relish extravagant black wealth with mourning a broken American political system, hoping listeners find visions of a freer black planet in their revelry but also foregrounds family matters. For that mattter I’m rating Everything is Love a 10/10. The Craters once again made an outstanding job! Not to mention, how they were able to shutdown The Louvre just to shoot an MV, that power! I love that now she is a wonderful model of Black female unapologetic empowerment. She sings about real life situations and conveys a depth of sincerity and truthfulness even when they are subjects that may be deeply personal. Her voice and musical style can vary and in the track Apes**t she faces all of the people who may have degraded her and dismissed her, in a stylistic and emotionally evocative way. The visuals in the video for this track are stunning and again exemplify the strength of women and how they don't have to be sexualized in degrading ways to "sell" the song. The fact that she recorded against the backdrop of classical art and a modern style of singing meshed so well and helped convey her connection between the timeless appeal that the surrounding art has and the message of the classic and timeless nature of how her relationship has evolved and become. I am not a part of her fandom just giving a review just to boost her score. I feel the impact she is making on women especially girls is significant that they don't have to submit to anyone to be strong or to define themselves, and it can be with the support of a man, not because of him. Beyoncé even goes full trap on chosen-single "APESH**T" which Quavo also lifts up a bit. Pharrell also does a good job on "NICE", which has the catchiest hook on here, and is very well produced. The whole thing is just so very-well produced (it kinda sounds like a continuation of the work showcased on "Magna Carta...Holy Grail"), and Beyoncé's vocals are as showstopping as ever. Another highlight is "Friends" which is suck a slick 5-minutes rides. A weak moment on the record is "BLACK EFFECT" which sounds a little inconsistent.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before the review, I don´t consider that an album review has to contain a spoiler alert, but considering that a lot of people (like me) has expecting this collaboration for a long time that they don´t want to hear anything about it before they hear "everything is love", this is why I write this warning because it will be difficult not to say some things.
Now, "Everything is love" isn´t disappointing, is great, but at least for me, I expected a little more. In this album, The Carters have delivered a really personal album, and even that we saw a little of that in their last solo albums (Lemonade and 4:44) here they explore more, like their life as famous people, spill the tea of some other celebrities, take time to say something political, take notice about themselves, their strengths as a couple and also their difficulties (LOVEHAPPY is a bomb) In "NICE", Pharrell Williams make a surprising appearance, and is more than welcome. One of the issues that I have with the album, is that in most of the songs, Beyoncé is the one with more presence in them, and she delivers it well, but considering that not is, "The Carters", I wanted more songs when Jay Z take the main presence, because this could be put as: "Beyoncé feat. Jay Z, like we´ve seen in "Drunk in love" or "Crazy in love". Again, "LOVEHAPPY", I needed more of that, where the both of them sang almost at the same time. And also that, almost all the songs, even when they´re enjoyable, they´re almost similar in structure. In the end, "Everything is love" is good, is entertaining and there will be songs that you´ll hear multiple times because your mind wants, but if I´m honest, I prefer hearing "Lemonade" and then "4:44" again.

Jay-Z was simply Jay-Z, smooth and commanding rapping flow, his bragging type of rhymes are something he owns and has the right to. And this brings me to my ONE problem with the album

I wanted, actually, needed more Jay-Z. Beyonce held her own, no doubts she was simply amazing, but Jay-Z was just cameoing in every song, i wanted more Jay-Z because every time he was rapping, he was so good, that just got me wanting more

Beyoncé and JAY Z come together for their first collaboration album under the surname of The Carters. I enjoyed hearing both artists on this album, but I felt like some tracks felt more like Bey's or just JAY Z's instead of a collaboration on each track. I also wanted a bit more production wise and I felt like some production was stuff we had heard on Bey's last two albums. Nevertheless, it was a nice collaborative project and I look forward to seeing what Bey has for her next project.

On paper "Everything is Love" should be an animal of a pop record with 2 of pop music's most prominent and in terms of material, satisfying, stars coming together. When these two collaborated on "Crazy in Love" the world of the Carter couple was very different, as was the world in general. This album couldn't be further from that time which made the record that bit more interesting. When these two collaborated on "Crazy in Love" the world of the Carter couple was very different, as was the world in general. This album couldn't be further from that time which made the record that bit more interesting. Opener "SUMMER" starts extremely promising, Beyonce's smokey vocals broken up by a few bars from Jay Z. Nice orchestration, nice R&B groove and would be a great intro track if it was trimmed by a few minutes. **** follows, again, not necessarily a bad track, some good synth loops and beats that Jay Z does a good job on but fails to catch fire. "BOSS" is the first top tune with both artists making meaningful contributions to what makes the track good. "NICE" is a bit experimental, slight glitch pop feel to it with a grating howling dog loop and lyrically it's a bit all of the place and sounds like it was done in 5 minutes. I'm not sure if The Carters gave Dr Dre a bell to ask for permission to rip him off on "713". It's a very good track but all I can hear is the sound of the doctor. "FRIENDS" slows down the pace, a Beyonce driven track which lights up the tail end of the record. "HEARD ABOUT US" follows nicely, again primarily driven by Beyonce. "BLACK EFFECT" has some excellent sample work and builds nicely to Jay Z taking the track home. "LOVEHAPPY" is an upbeat and fitting end to a fine album.
The second half of the album sees a more creative freedom to proceedings with the opening half more focused on the commercial side of it. I'd have liked if the Carters had be bold enough to release a whole album in the vein of side 2. A very good record from 2 great artists that could have been even better.

This album is like a victory lap. And it's a poor follow up to LEMONADE and 4:44.
Most of the album is about being successful and bragging about their success. Which is a fine theme. The album mostly feels uninspired and generic. Not a weak album in anyway but not a strong addition to either artists discography. Good songs 713, Love Happy, and Black Effect.

There are many things that Jay and Beyoncé addressed on their album, from the Black Lives Matter movement, their marriage, friendships, and each and every song spoke honestly, every track was produced with the most impeccable detail and despite only being 9 songs long, it has marked a huge milestone, not only in both their careers, both their lives, in their fans lives, but I believe inThere are many things that Jay and Beyoncé addressed on their album, from the Black Lives Matter movement, their marriage, friendships, and each and every song spoke honestly, every track was produced with the most impeccable detail and despite only being 9 songs long, it has marked a huge milestone, not only in both their careers, both their lives, in their fans lives, but I believe in music. When you think after everything that happened, and all that conversation around the world, on social media, in the press etc. this is the type of response they had to give, and in true Bey and Jay style, it was classy, it was professional and it was just so lovely to enjoy.

This album for me, and I’m sure fans will agree, really is one of those that are in a league of it’s own. It’s fresh, and just has such a vibe to it that is so distinctive but also, suits to Beyoncé and Jay. The joint album couldn’t have gone better and it really is a joy to listen to.

I absolutely adore Beyoncé. I feel her songs really help me when I feel sad, happy, excited, etc. This album seems a little disappointing though. It doesn't really make me feel anything. Beyonce and Jay-Z take pop, R&B, and rap for a spin on "EVERYTHING IS LOVE" and the result is a jolt of energy and artistry. Whether it be the smooth and warm breeziness of "SUMMER", or the fun and excitement in **** or the extraordinary groove and intellect of "LOVEHAPPY", "EVERYTHING IS LOVE" sees the musical power couple at their best and brightest.

This album starts off strong, but doesn't quite keep up with the bar it sets at the very beginning. The video for APESH** was interesting, but also alienating at the same time. First and foremost, we did not need any new music from Jay-Z in 2018. I appreciated 4:44 for being a great progressive shift for mainstream hip-hop music but this is just basic economics.

Meh. Downgrade from Jay Z's 4:44 and Beyonce's Lemonade. Its kinda weird to hear B and Jay just flex rap like everyone else now is. The album is underwhelming under every single point of view. It has no soul or no relevant content.

In this joint album, the Beloved Beyoncé does not shine in this record either since her husband carries the “best” verses and delivers the most vocally speaking, even Though Beyoncé manages to find few rare moments in which she manages to deliver nice harmonizations. The sound production is surely the best part of the record.

After Lemonade and 4:44, this should have been one of the best albums of both artists career. Instead we’re left with a mediocre, forgettable album that doesn’t come close teaching either artists potential. The stand out songs are BLACK EFFECT and LOVEHAPPY. The other 7 songs are bland, unremarkable with sub-par lyrics.

It's not one of her best albums, disappointed in how much Beyoncé had to do to remain married to Jay-Z. In her songs, she cites that she does not call streaming, but soon after seeing Tidal's failure she released the album on all streaming platforms. If she declares herself a feminist, she is always running her hand over Jay-z's head, accepting even the fact that she is betrayed. Decadence

I enjoyed Lemonade and 4:44 but this really didn't do anything for me. It follows every current trend so painfully bad and a ton of god awful lyrics its hard to listen to. I got zero substance or saw anything innovative. I understand why people would like this, Jay and Beyonce are the biggest stars in the world and this is a big production album but it falls very short for me.

As an album it’s almost entirely soporifically dull though beautifully appointed throughout (and it’s a joy to hear Beyoncé rapping) by some smart production from both main protagonists and some slick grooves from the Daptone band. [Aug 2018, p.68]

It's also a sonic master class in marital counseling and commitment, wherein Beyoncé emerges with the upper hand and a contrite Jay is lucky she's so gracious. Vocally, it's a similar story: Beyoncé shines here, balancing light rap verses ("Apeshit" and "Nice") with some of the prettiest vocals she's recorded in years ("Friends"), while Jay offers his standard braggadocious bars that nonetheless make an impact for their occasional honesty and humility.

There’s a sense of immediacy and even unpredictability in the most restless moments on Everything In Love, which saves the album from being a rather static and defiant contemplation of The Carters’ victories.
