This album just goes on to show how successful Beyonce and Jay have become. It is a very powerful album. It is very coherent, and listening to it is not overwhelming at all. Also, there is an incredible flow between all the songs that makes the album very smooth.

Jay-Z is just as great as he always is, There is something very special and unique about the way he raps and says the words, which proves great for all the songs on the album!

On the other hand, Beyonce.... I am actually speechless about her. There is absolutely nothing that she isn't great at! Whenever she sings or says a word, I become 200 times happier than I was tbh. In this album, she goes on to explore rap (which she has only almost done in Partition previously), and damn is she fine at it.

Although this is a collab album, it is easy to see that Beyonce is superior to her hubby, who is also amazing, but he falls in the shadow of Beyonce's triumph. That being said, the album still feels like a collab, and the bond between them is amazing. This album is truly a work of art, and it is a very pleasurable listen.

Clearly the critics reviews are biased. The album feels rushed and superficial. The abuse of autotune in some tracks is the worst part. The lyrics? Definitely so disappointed with the album...

The lyrics are perhaps the best part. It's interesting to see negative reviews talk about their use of art as mere commerce or financial prowess, but they've missed the point entirely. The racial politics this album brings up are cleverly integrated, and anyone saying they've had enough about hearing of this relationship can just not listen. That's why one said this was copying Kanye, despite Kanye never having this style of music, one saying Britney is better and one saying Taylor is better. The latter two clearly didn't listen to the album and just wanted to lower the score. And Britney? Better? Her autotune is better, maybe. And I'm sure the Taylor fan didn't understand the deeper meaning in the one free song they listened too as, as a Taylor fan, they are used to being given lyrics with face value. But let's not get into that. The main criticism of the album appears to be the lack of sining. Those that believe this only listened to Apesh*t, the Migos-influenced lead single, accompanied by a video shot inside the Louvre, contrasting the European standards of art with and invasion of black culture, giving a clear message of how these two artists believe we should be uplifting the black community. However, a listen to the opening track, Summer, a less politically significant but just as important songs, presents vocals that weren't found on the Apesh*t. The track reflects the peace the two have found in their marriage, with gorgeous vocals from Beyoncé and a very minimal but present flow from Jay. Other tracks, such as Boss and Nice, bring a familiar sound, particularly with the harmonies over Boss's chorus, but still sound fresh. Heard About Us brings a fun side to the album, as Beyoncé joyfully sings "skrrt skrrt," and manages to turn an ugly slur into a beautiful vocal run, showing again how the couple are reclaiming black heritage through their art. 713 connects the listener to Beyoncé's Houston roots, showing that she hasn't lost her soul and is still "representing for my hustlers." Black Effect opens with an unknown voice talking about types of love, showing the clear theme of this album: Love. Imperfect love, challenging love, but love nonetheless. The album closes with Lovehappy, a joyful song that almost mocks the problems they have faced, with the two joking about how Beyoncé almost killed Jay. This not only brings a beautiful close to the album, but to the saga that began in Beyoncé's 2016 album, Lemonade, and continued through Jay-Z's 2017 album, 4:44. Unlike Lemonade, there are no stages of grief; not the same feelings of denial, anger and apathy, there is only love. Everything is love. Expand

It's not one of her best albums, disappointed in how much Beyoncé had to do to remain married to Jay-Z. In her songs, she cites that she does not call streaming, but soon after seeing Tidal's failure she released the album on all streaming platforms. If she declares herself a feminist, she is always running her hand over Jay-z's head, accepting even the fact that she is betrayed. Decadence

Beyoncé even goes full trap on chosen-single "APESH**T" which Quavo also lifts up a bit. Pharrell also does a good job on "NICE", which has the catchiest hook on here, and is very well produced. The whole thing is just so very-well produced (it kinda sounds like a continuation of the work showcased on "Magna Carta...Holy Grail"), and Beyoncé's vocals are as showstopping as ever. Another highlight is "Friends" which is suck a slick 5-minutes rides. A weak moment on the record is "BLACK EFFECT" which sounds a little inconsistent.

In this joint album, the Beloved Beyoncé does not shine in this record either since her husband carries the “best” verses and delivers the most vocally speaking, even Though Beyoncé manages to find few rare moments in which she manages to deliver nice harmonizations. The sound production is surely the best part of the record.

I understand why people would like this, Jay and Beyonce are the biggest stars in the world and this is a big production album but it falls very short for me.

My favorite line though is about how they don't give a f*ck about streaming numbers so it won't be on spotify but then 2 days later its on spotify lmao.

Es ARTE puro! La mejor cantante viva en estos momentos es Beyoncé, su voz suena increíblemente espectacular y la versatilidad en sus versos rapeados son dignos de una rapera.

The union of two great artists consolidated in music, could only come out good thing.
The rhymes, the vocals, the beat, the implicit messages, the lyrics and follow the reasons that make this album get top marks for me.
IT ENHANCES YOU,GIVES YOU THE WILL TO DANCE,MAKE YOU THINK,IT SURPRISES YOU IN VARIOUS ASPECTS.
Beyonce and Jay Z do, which in my view, is the best joint album ever made.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z definitely revolutionized once again with this album full of references and protests very well placed in impeccable verses. Very well thought out and the launch was very strategic, further enhancing the relevance of this couple who once again showed everyone how strong they are. Expand

I mean, Beyoncé and JayZ come with everything they had, this album is all of her career, their marriage and their personal lifes, i think that's a great album, the beyhive was expecting this since 2010 haha and the day it's finally arrived. And this album is a mix of some rhytms, not just HipHop and Rap. Great album, great songs, great vocals, Thanks B&J for giving us another piece of art.

It's another good Beyoncé's R&B album along with the elaborate Jay-Z flows. Very well produced as usual, but still is the comfort zone of them. And also is nothing very revolutionary and doesn't show a BIG music evolution of them. Lemonade surprises me more.

The only word I want to use to describe this album is: masterpiece. This album is like a victory lap. And it's a poor follow up to LEMONADE and 4:44.
Most of the album is about being successful and bragging about their success. Which is a fine theme. The album mostly feels uninspired and generic. Not a weak album in anyway but not a strong addition to either artists discography. Good songs 713, Love Happy, and Black Effect.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Before the review, I don´t consider that an album review has to contain a spoiler alert, but considering that a lot of people (like me) has expecting this collaboration for a long time that they don´t want to hear anything about it before they hear "everything is love", this is why I write this warning because it will be difficult not to say some things.
Now, "Everything is love" isn´t disappointing, is great, but at least for me, I expected a little more. In this album, The Carters have delivered a really personal album, and even that we saw a little of that in their last solo albums (Lemonade and 4:44) here they explore more, like their life as famous people, spill the tea of some other celebrities, take time to say something political, take notice about themselves, their strengths as a couple and also their difficulties (LOVEHAPPY is a bomb) In "NICE", Pharrell Williams make a surprising appearance, and is more than welcome. One of the issues that I have with the album, is that in most of the songs, Beyoncé is the one with more presence in them, and she delivers it well, but considering that not is, "The Carters", I wanted more songs when Jay Z take the main presence, because this could be put as: "Beyoncé feat. Jay Z, like we´ve seen in "Drunk in love" or "Crazy in love". Again, "LOVEHAPPY", I needed more of that, where the both of them sang almost at the same time. And also that, almost all the songs, even when they´re enjoyable, they´re almost similar in structure. In the end, "Everything is love" is good, is entertaining and there will be songs that you´ll hear multiple times because your mind wants, but if I´m honest, I prefer hearing "Lemonade" and then "4:44" again.

As an album it’s almost entirely soporifically dull though beautifully appointed throughout (and it’s a joy to hear Beyoncé rapping) by some smart production from both main protagonists and some slick grooves from the Daptone band. [Aug 2018, p.68]

It's also a sonic master class in marital counseling and commitment, wherein Beyoncé emerges with the upper hand and a contrite Jay is lucky she's so gracious. Vocally, it's a similar story: Beyoncé shines here, balancing light rap verses ("Apeshit" and "Nice") with some of the prettiest vocals she's recorded in years ("Friends"), while Jay offers his standard braggadocious bars that nonetheless make an impact for their occasional honesty and humility.

There’s a sense of immediacy and even unpredictability in the most restless moments on Everything In Love, which saves the album from being a rather static and defiant contemplation of The Carters’ victories.
