  1. Devil's Workshop is the most compact realization of the group's aesthetic, and it contributes 11 solid songs to Frank's ever-expanding canon.
  2. Exudes a sense of immediacy and echoes the group's tight live show.
  3. This is one tight little record.
  4. It's a bracing set of songs, one that rivals the critically lauded Dog in the Sand.
  5. If nothing else, Frank's 33-minute Devil's Workshop is the punchy record that should have followed Teenager of the Year.

Enjoyable, tight little album. It was a nice add on to "Black Letter Days" but lacks the emotional immediacy of that album. Feels a little Enjoyable, tight little album. It was a nice add on to "Black Letter Days" but lacks the emotional immediacy of that album. Feels a little like an afterthought. Even so it is better than most albums being released today.
