Yoongi reveals is soul to us with this album. For someone that admits to having a hard time showing his feelings, he really put everything into D-Day. I love every single track, but "Snooze" featuring WOOSUNG and the late Ryuichi Sakamoto is so beautiful.

Wonderful album filled with Min Yoongi's life story. A perfect ending to the Agust D trilogy looking back and the past and at the present as only he can. Everything so well made from his letter to younger artists in Snooze to the heartbreaking Amydala there is not a skip on this album.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Masterpiece. Lyrically provoking, strong, and coherent. Agust D delivers an extremely powerful album. The commentary on humanity and social constructs done in the album on songs like Haegeum and Polar Night is very honest and well done, and this theme is balanced by the vulnerability Agust D showed on tracks like People Pt 2, Amydgala and SDL. The album dabbles between these themes in perfect balance included in a very coherent story. An absolutely incredible listen. Expand

As in his mix tapes Agust D takes us through the rarest exploration of human emotions and experiences through questioning and attempting to find answers to the questions that plague us all
From what is freedom? In Haegum To what is Love? In People pt. 2 and to what does time do to relationships? In SDL
But as he is entering his 30s with a secure place in music history he also uses this
As in his mix tapes Agust D takes us through the rarest exploration of human emotions and experiences through questioning and attempting to find answers to the questions that plague us all
From what is freedom? In Haegum To what is Love? In People pt. 2 and to what does time do to relationships? In SDL
But as he is entering his 30s with a secure place in music history he also uses this opportunity to give advice to those who follow in his footsteps in Snooze, a song that credits include one of Min Yoongis earliest musical influences Ryuichi Sakamoto in a full circle moment
Agust D's archetypal narration of his own life through exploration of his own pain is also present in Amygdala and the title track, and his scathing critique of society spread throughout, not only in Haegum (which is accompanied by a MV that is its own cinematic universe) but also in Polar Night, a track about polarisation.
No Agust D track would be complete without a Diss towards those who doubted him, D-Day is no exception, due to the inclusion of 'Huh?!' FT his team mate J-hope, like always Agust D prays his haters will do well, while calling out disinformation and hypocrisy This album has rock vibes in addition to the expected rap/hip hop beats, the features are there to add to musicality and story building
People pt2 and Life Goes on are the ultimate comfort songs, in the way that Yoongi relates to Army, with People pt2 affirming 'you're already enough to be loved' to himself and to the listener, something we all need to hear
And Life Goes On seems to be the message he wants to leave with us before his enlistment, his acknowledgement of his fear the relationship between him and his fans might change due to distance, the acceptance of time changing, and the plea 'don't forget to find me'
How could we forget? We will be waiting to see what this genius Producer, composer and lyricist gives us in the next stage of his life

Suga uses his musicality and emotions that he has used in previous Agust D mixtapes and also sheds the moniker to reveal his true reflections of life as Min Yoongi. An ode to this was the ending of the album by giving advice to younger people who are about to endure their 20s as he leaves his. With features of strong vocalists such as IU and Woosung who compliment Agust D’s rap, he develops songs that are comforting to the listener’s ear. Collaborating with fellow band mate of BTS (j-hope) he shares a song that channels the energy of typical BTS rapline songs. Finally to mention the late Ryuichi Sakamoto’s feature in which he delivers a beautiful composition of an instrumental to one of the songs, Agust D was grateful to have this collaboration as a fan of him.
