    Caer shows definite signs that Twin Shadow is moving in the right direction. However, the album is too often bogged down by cheerless beats, painted in varying shades of beige.

    There are some meandering points on Caer, but Lewis Jr.’s sobering narrative on piano finale ‘Runaway’ ends things on a poignant high-note.

    For a 13-track album, the majority is forgettable and doesn't live up to the colourful elements of Lewis's previous releases. The lack of energy on Caer leaves a longing for more originality and creativity he has once given us.

    Though much of the rest of Caer is mopey and monochromatic, these songs ["Too Many Colors" and "Little Woman"] suggest new possibilities for Twin Shadow's next phase.

    Easily his best album since Forget. My favorite tracks are Saturdays, 18 Years, When You're Wrong, Littlest Things & Runaway. A niceEasily his best album since Forget.     This 13 track album was a pleasant surprise as I never listened to Twin shadow before. You can hear the pop and rock influences in the sound, but sometimes that isn't the best thing as several tracks sound the same and overly poppy. There is songs that sound like young fathers, and frank ocean, but also have a unique sound. I recommend you listen.    … Full Review »
