    Absolute masterpiece with 0 skips.
The story telling through the lyrics and the symbolism is just mind blowing. The production, which many people have complained about after her last 2 albums, is so much better, though we still got piano ballads, it was a more mature clean production, very well structured.
    Perfection!

Дилер это что-то, а чери блоссом это маленькая колыбельная, под которую хочется заснуть (в хорошем смысле). Этот альбом что-то личное и родное, особенно чувствуется в песне свит Каролина. Ну альбом шедеврален! Expand

One of her best. Simple, but very elegant, deep lyrics, it's like a big personal poem. She is growing to food way, after little disappointing Chemicals over The Country club, this is much bigger.

It's so cohesive yet so diverse. There are soft beats reminding Honeymoon the album and lots of piano ballads reminding us NFR! The length of the album might've been a little shorter because 14 songs (not counting the trio) is a bit hard to process all in once. Her vocals have been on another level since NFR! we can clearly agree on this I think

really disappointing album. after 6 listens I realized it had zero replay value and can't remember any memorable tracks. I will be revisiting Sincerely, Kentrell so I don't suffer any longer after this fiasco.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This album is astonishing and also competing for her best album with NFR…from the strong tone in her voice while it’s usually gentle to the impressive vocals throughout the album, for example where her voice imitates the sax on living legend and her belting on the unforgettable track dealer - this truly is some of her finest work and for me it has became my favourite lana album. I like the contrast between the different types of songs; the interlude which is trap-pop beats, songs like beautiful- a gorgeous piano song (nothing like the boring ones jack antonoff produces), and rock influenced songs like thunder. However it’s done in such a way that you don’t feel overwhelmed. If i were to give this album anything below 10 it would feel like a robbery. Del Rey’s finest album in my eyes. Favourite songs: Dealer, Black Bathing Suit, Violets for Roses, Beautiful, Thunder, Sweet Carolina Expand

She has always wrote about America, and it’s importance to her. While this track highlights this overarching theme, it also criticizes it, because like the blood in our arteries, we are completely reliant on it. Many people woud like to get rid of their blood. So who’s to say that Lana wouldn’t want to do the same with america? So why does this make it such a great album? Well I think this album does two things, I think this album makes a reflexive criticism of herself, and secondly I think this album points out why some critics and criticisms are unfair. We already explored her reflexivity criticism in, “Arcadia.” However it came from her, and I think the most important criticism comes from within, sure, you can get the spark to change from others, but really changing oneself on the inside is always a personal choice. Which I think brings me to my next point. Validity of criticism comes from within. You decide whether the criticism is valid to you, individuals decide if the criticism garnered at them is valid. Whether this is expressed in the same manner differs, some may get defensive, or project. But this all highlights a telling aspect, that on the inside, most of the time, we know if what we’re doing is harmful. I believe Lana highlights this belief best in her seventh song off Blue Banisters, “Beautiful.” One of the largest of many criticisms coming from news articles expressing disingenuous takes and hot topics criticizes Lana for being too sad. Over the years she has been given the criticism of following the “Sad Girl,” trope, she even sings about this in the song titled the same off of her third studio album, “Ultraviolence.” She counters this argument when she sings, “What if someone had asked Picasso not to be sad? Never known who he was or the man he’d become. There would be no blue period.” Before I continue, I think her example may also highlight misogyny in media and in her criticisms, because even though Picasso paints sad, somber paintings, he has never been criticized for being too sad. She sings that she cannot tell her story without being sad, to tell her story without being sad would be to not tell her story at all. Lana paints out an ever-extending landscape of pro/anti- Americana in her eighth studio album, “Blue Banisters.” The lyrics in the 15 songs tell a story and answer questions we’ve all yearned to ask of her and of society. So what should this album do for us, how does the message of this album convince us to do something? This album tells us to be weary of criticism from parties suspect of leveling criticism for motives beyond criticism, it also tells us to criticize are selves, and at the same time, be comfortable in our current existence, even if it isn’t our end goal. You don’t have to hate yourself to change. Expand

Blue Banisters - альбом который я совершенно не ждал, альбом который должен был выйти 4 июля, неожиданно но мне понравился.
Некоторые считают альбом ''унылым'' но так считали и предыдущие её работы, никуда это не денется.

On Blue Banisters, Lana Del Rey’s second record this year, she gets more personal than ever before. The record tells her story, overcoming heartbreak and healing through sisterhood.

While the days of Born to Die have long since passed, Lana Del Rey is still seeking paradise, closer now than ever as she turns her search inward, seemingly recognizing that paradise is ultimately found within the best of oneself. Still, if there is indeed a physical Arcadia to be revealed, it has not emerged in its entirety on Blue Banisters. That said, its intoxicating hints are enough to keep seekers thirsty.
