Jun 5, 2026Although there are times where she can be hypersexual and crass, her approach to love can be much more nuanced than typical pop-rappers are credited for. Whether she’s talking about money, family or heartbreak, Latto sounds increasingly comfortable embracing every version of herself.

Jun 3, 2026Latto’s ‘Big Mama’ is an impressive album that speaks to her maturity and artistic growth.

Jun 3, 2026It’s certainly the best, tightest music she’s ever made, but it lacks the curatorial precision and creative vulnerability of the kind of classic album that’s well within her reach. Essentially, she could have said much more in less time.

Jul 6, 2026It's no coincidence that a fair portion of the set consists of loved-up baby-making material. .... But there's also plenty of antagonism on offer, highlighted by the rowdy GloRilla collaboration "GOMF," the celebratory "Get Money Girl," and the particularly sharp (and beatless) "Chrome Heart Diaper Bag."

Jun 3, 2026“Big Mama” is the most enjoyable Latto album I’ve heard to date. There are a few moments which dip below her own standard, but her attitude and charm still raise the overall average up higher.

Jun 3, 2026One can quibble with the deluge of romantic themes on Big Mama, and wonder if the resulting songs could be better. There are only one or two outright duds. .... Mostly, it sounds like too much of a good thing.
