    The reissue is loaded with worthy extras. ... There will never again be a rock bomb quite like Be Here Now, and as such its memory should be honored.

    In a sense, this turgid collection is the ultimate expression of Be Here Now: as bloated and indulgent as the record itself, the music a secondary concern to the product’s status.

    As someone who bought the first Oasis single (Supersonic) and every release after on the day of release, this compilation is bittersweet...As someone who bought the first Oasis single (Supersonic) and every release after on the day of release, this compilation is bittersweet... I'm sure it depends on your age but for those who grew up with British indie music Oasis were a major inspiration and to me, this record is the definitive sound of ambition, success and the culmination of the whole era. In 3 short years these kids had gone from out of work hooligans to some of the wealthiest most successful musicians in the world, and this record with all the material included from that time is the artifact that proves it. It's loud and long and overproduced and if you turn it up loud it's absolutley brilliant. It is also the grand finale of britpop and cool Britannia and as I said, rather bittersweet that those days were about to end, and now it's 19 years later.… Full Review »

The TUNES are still here.":Stand By Me", "Dont Go Away", "All Around The World", "Do You Know What I mean?" etc. Epic tunes, epic melodies, with the amazing voice of Liam Gallagher, filled the charts with mega sales, the stadiums and most importantly, our hearts.That was 1997 and still, in 2007, "Be Here Now" lp, still sounds mega, almost BIBLICAL.A perfect conclusion in a perfect Rock n Roll trilogy (DF, WTSMG, BHN). Do you know what i mean?

    This album is definitely a step down from morning glory but since morning glory is so great, just a single step down doesn't mean anything.This album is definitely a step down from morning glory but since morning glory is so great, just a single step down doesn't mean anything. While, this album does have it's flaws with its loud and overbearing production, the length of the album, and some of the lyrics, it does still have some amazing moments and great song. D'know what I mean and My Big Mouth are great rockers that successfully do their task of amping people up for the album. Stand By Me and Don't go away are great heartfelt guitar ballads that I absolutely love and I know a lot of other people do too. Fade in/out has a great rythym guitar line and a good buildup although the lyrics aren't anything groundbreaking. In conclusion, Going nowhere, (I got) the fever, and stay young should have replaced the weaker songs on the album but all in all, this album is a phenominal record.… Full Review »
