0 FILLERS. ALL THE TRACKS ARE BOPS. This album has not a deep concept like another Beyoncé next albuns, but the songs are the most wonderful ive ever heard. Its a more comercial sonority, and it still being really nice. In my vision, it's a dance album, and it does what is suposed to do: make you move your body while listening to all the songs. Such a MASTERPIECE!

Beyonce comienza a experimentar con la temática de álbumes visuales y lo hace maravillosamente. El álbum puede que sea el que menos cambios tuvo comparándola con su antecesora, pero tuvo éxito en lograr lo mismo que el primer álbum, varios hits.

Beyoncé's sophomore solo album shows significant growth from her debut solo project. The production value feels similar to the debut album, but I don't mind it if I'm honest. The vocals are also the same standard we were given on her debut project. The main growth that is found on this record is in the lyrical content and the rhythmic decisions made by the singer. ith so many uptempo tracks it may be seen tiring to hear all the tracks, but she show some more of her talents looking at them individually, like the smooth funky ballad Kitty Kat, or the shouty one Green Light. Its not an album to hear easyfully, but its not bad.

I think: B'Day is the more-creative album of Beyoncé. This girl is an stupid amazing singer, i love her! But I Am... Sasha Fierce is better. The dancing from B'Day, the songs, the letter. B'Day is perfect. Get Me Bodied and Upgrade U are the best songs of the album.

"Ring the Alarm" is one of the most interesting song I have ever listened to, but this album just doesn't work out really well for me. It's somewhat imbalanced with the first half being so appealing but the later half being so typical (except for "Irreplaceable").

Better than her debut album thanks to less slower songs and more booty-shaking songs which is what Beyoncé is best for! It's not flawless but there is plenty here to enjoy and it's a great album, especially with one of her biggest hits on the album, Irreplaceable!

Well, it may be her best album yet, but it's certainly her weirdest. I like the beats, her voice is great, but the lyrics are just ridiculous. I was hoping for something better than ''let's go, little kitty kat'', but overall is a great album and it deserves a listen.

I'm not a great fan on R'n'B mainly coz everything sounds the same! i think Great R'n'B died in the 1990's, as soon as 2000 came, the industry became commercialized! Beyonce is one of the most exciting talents from this new era! Truly amazing voice, She can move and is of course beautiful! the whole package... She uses her talents well in the B'day album, which i think serves its purpose... this not an introspective, thought provoking classic like Marvin Gaye Whats going on... but Thats not what i set out to be,,, its meant to be enjoyable, light hearted party music! The production is top notch, with Swizz beats taking the prize for Amazing production! Get me bodied is one of the best R'n'B beats I've heard in years! the yelps and screams really bring out the mood of the track! the neptunes also were in great, creative form once again! Tracks like kitty kat take a few listens, but once absorbed and understood are one of the best tracks...the only track i don't feel but can still appreciate is resentment... i heard it was originally made for Victoria beckam.... not sure if its true.. but she should have left if for her! I think her next project should be a more mature sound, like a soul album, she has the voice, but she hasn't proved herself to be a soul diva, as most of her ballads in the past were... pretty crap! However i think this album is a big step up from Crazy in love... which i thought apart from a few tracks... was crap... it lacked substance... too many fillers! Only problem with B'day,.. Its way too short! needs an extra 2-3 songs of the same quality on it! Great work Beyonce! Expand

I like Beyonce. She's gorgeous, talented and appears to be pretty grounded. Upon the release of her debut solo disc Dangerously In Love (and amidst the critical acclaim it garnered across the country) I decided to get the album--boy, did it disappoint! The first handful of tracks (especially the international horn-blarin' smash single "Crazy In Love") sounded brilliant, I like Beyonce. She's gorgeous, talented and appears to be pretty grounded. Upon the release of her debut solo disc Dangerously In Love (and amidst the critical acclaim it garnered across the country) I decided to get the album--boy, did it disappoint! The first handful of tracks (especially the international horn-blarin' smash single "Crazy In Love") sounded brilliant, everything I expected the ex-Destiny's Child leader to produce as a solo artist. But halfway through and this shockingly long record started getting bland. I ended up questioning the majority of critics' reviewing abilities after making it through the 17-track Dangerously In Love. Then Beyonce hit the charts with B'Day, her sophomore effort. Having seen her thumping, if somewhat copycat-ed (off of Britney Spears' entrance during a performance show three years before) performance of the brilliant single "Ring The Alarm" I decided to risk it and purchase her second album. Man, did it sound good! "Deja" is a great opener, if not a bit too similar to Beyonce's debut solo hit "Crazy In Love." "Get Me Bodied" is a nice slice of Hip Hop-influenced R&B; and then arrives "Ring The Alarm." The alarm-blarin' track is brilliant in every sense. "Irreplaceable" is the official closing tune and it adds some Dangerously In Love sound to B'Day. Despite its low moments, like the bland (but not horrible) "Kitty Kat" and such, Beyonce finally delivered a record that actually plays like a record ought to, song-to-song instead of good track-bad track. B'Day is something to celebrate. Expand

Didn't want to speculate but it seems like she had a lot on her mind that she needed to share with her fans. There is nothing wrong with that but you shouldn't have to pay for something like that. B'Day is brilliant. Great uptempo tracks and ballads on this one. It's an album that you can play just straight through without skipping any tracks. I really believe that this album will get an Album of the Year nomination. It's that good.

Don't listen to the haters. Half the time the idiots haven't even heard the album but are judging by the singles. This album rox, every song is single-worthy. And that's a hard feat to accomplish.

This is the best CD from Beyonce as a single artist and as a member of Destiny's Child. The bouncy beats displays her connection to the south. As a woman I find the lyrics along w/the strong beats empowering. This stays in the CD player!

Listen to the CD, the entire CD then give a careful analysis. Beyonce is very talented and she expresses her talent well. This CD is showing her maturing into a woman. Give her credit, she deserves it. She works for the fans. That is why her art is so great.

The album is fantastic, and one of the best albums of the year. The album on the surface may come across as just a fun dance album. But if you really listen closely the album has some great lyrics and thought-provoking theme when it comes to relationships.

Loves it. Beyonce is a perfectionist(VIRGO) and ahead of her time. The creative side of a woman in love and knows what it takes to keep and satisfy the one u love. Innocent and yet sexual.and catty. You can see it in upgrade u, kitty kat, irreplaceable.

This album is amazing. It's a whole lot better than her previous sleep-fest! I love the fact how every track is an individual and none of them sound alike, a problem her previous album suffered chronically from. Get Me Bodied is simply fantastic, the way it relies on her vocals for the melodies and harmonies. Ring The Alarm is so refreshing and perfect as the second single. Other This album is amazing. Excellent example of great popular music because of its brevity. In 10 stellar tracks that emphasize attitude and energy, B'Day streams a variety of mini-anthems over hard hitting beats in a way only Beyonce can

This album is wonderful, probably Beyonce's best work. The songs are catchy and her Aretha Franklin-esque vocals are so vibrant on the album, should be a huge hit for her. My favorite songs are Resentment, Irreplaceable, Upgrade U, and Get Me Bodied, but I love the WHOLE album!!!!!!!!

  1. Whereas Beyoncé's debut was accomplished in its diversity, albeit a sure sign of a new solo artist trying to find her voice, B'Day sounds like the album "Crazy In Love" initially forecasted.

B'Day never cools down, and swaety up-tempo numbers prove the best platform for Beyonce's rapperly phrasing and pipe-flaunting fireballs. [Sep 2006, p.138]
  3. Apart from a few pop-R&B space-fillers, there's not much to dislike about B'Day.
