Apocalipstick is fast, furious and, most importantly, fun, making it the first truly badass album of 2017.

Soaring guitar chords and searing leads are tempered with smooth interludes and danceable beats while clever lyrics are served up with Creevy's enchanting, controlled screaming.

Apocalipstick isn't just a record, it's an experience about being hungry, fearless and restless in a world that condemns those for being such.

While Haxel Princess was full of goofy and relatable teenage dispatches, Apocalipstick shoots daggers. Now 19, Creevy sounds wizened and ready for battle.

Not all the songs fire quite as convincingly, but the band sound as if they’re coming of age and still having fun growing up disgracefully.

It's a trade-off that many bands make as they progress, cashing in on the uniqueness of their original sound for something more palatable to the imagined masses. It almost never works out well for the band involved and despite a few bright moments where they almost get it right, it doesn't work for Cherry Glazerr here.
