Aug 27, 2024It is nearly its predecessor’s equal, exuding a similar positive energy. Another Day sounds downright triumphant for much of its run time and is among the very best Fucked Up records in a formidable catalog.
-
Aug 29, 2024It’s direct, angry, and often joyful – a reminder that making good music well is always worth doing.
-
Aug 12, 2024There’s a lot to be said for Fucked Up keeping it simple, they really inject their songs with palpable passion that simply pours out of the speakers.
-
Aug 12, 2024Another Day falters when it gets too ethereal and singy—as on the Haliechuk-led “Follow Fine Feeling,” which doesn’t have the melodic juice of his excellent song “Cicada” on One Day—or too straight-up and untextured, as on the plodding closer “House Lights.” But at its best, Another Day showcases Fucked Up as masters of transformation.

Classic Rock MagazineAug 20, 2024An exhilarating and unexpectedly uplifting record. [Sep 2024, p.71]

Aug 9, 2024The songs take agile twists and turns, the guitar interplay between Mike Haliechuk and Josh Zucker is satisfying and makes room for far more than the traditional four/four downstroke, and bassist Sandy Miranda and drummer Jonah Falco power this music with muscle and panache. And if the mix doesn't always put Abraham's vocals front and center, making it something of a challenge to understand all the lyrics, what's audible hits an admirable balance between rage and hope.

UncutAug 8, 2024Warmer and more upbeat than One Day, Another Day hangs around just long enough to make an impact. [Sep 2024, p.32]
-
Aug 8, 2024Another Day isn’t quite as good as the best Fucked Up records; that bar is just a little too high. But it’s still a Fucked Up record.
-
MojoAug 8, 2024Another Day, another faff-free, one-session-apiece exercise in succinctness, for a sixth long-player which presents Fucked Up as a more highly evolved version of their old selves – dense, intense and to-the-point. [Sep 2024, p.88]

Aug 8, 2024A record that contains a number of inspiring moments, but, on the whole, Another Day doesn't quite assert itself in the context of their back catalogue.
