There are moments where the charts could bear being much edgier, and the guest spots are variable. ... In the midst of it, Weller himself sails regally on, in fine-grained voice, and the songs are happily, bomb(ast)-proof. [Feb 2022, p.87]

The orchestral reworkings are more a novelty than coming close to definitive versions but for fans of Weller this is a real treat and new collection of his more tender moments. The project probably turned out better than anyone expected. Full Review »

This new live album by Paul Weller, in collaboration with Jules Buckley and the
BBC Symphony Orchestra is slightly above normal for albums of it's type. The
instrumentation of the album, which was recorded live in May of this year,
is good while the vocal color of Mr. Weller and his guests, are strong
enough to give the album some bite.

This is an okay live album for what it is worth. I will recommend this to
bot classical music fans and fans of contemporary pop music.
