    This may not be her best work, but this is definitely an essential taylor swift album. This is her first pop album and it's admirable how she changed her sound knowing her audiences were country song enthusiasts. I think it's important for artists to be brave and explore more and more. Don't get lost in your comfort zone.

    It's amazing how deep are the words she used in This Love, Clean, and You are in Love. The classic 80s vibes she wants those songs to be produced are so good.

    She jumped from Country to Pop genre is the best thing. She wrote a full of Bop songs on this album. Literally the Best Pop Album of All Time. She really deserved that Album Of The Year on Grammy. Love the way she managed her life and put it into this album. She’s finally Out of the Woods.

    1989 is the best album of swift's entire discography. The seven singles (shake it off, blank space, style, bad blood, wildest dreams, out of the woods and new romantics) are incredible. Certainly, one of the best albums of the decade!! Well done taylor!!

    Best pop album yet! I love everything on this album. I love Tay. But this is her best album. It have a catchy songs and emotional songs too. My most fav one is Wonderland. Its just like a fairytale story. I like it.

    This album is pop perfection. Happy, sad, angry, haunted, free. One of the most cohesive albums ever done, it is in fact an album, not a playlist of songs, but an actual body of work, that will remain in music history forever.

    The best pop album of all time, literally. I've never heard something as perfect as this, I don't think even Taylor can do better someday, no wonder it has an album of the year grammy and it's certified diamond in the US, well deserved.

    Reviewers continue to score her in the 70's range on Metacritic for the simple reason that she's Taylor Swift. 1989 and is a pop classic and there's a reason it won album of the year. Who else ever went so seamlessly from country to pop? "Shake it Off", "Blank Space", and "Style" are instant classics. Taylor deserves so much more praise for her talent than she gets.

    1989 can be said to be one of Taylor’s best albums, the production is lovely, she gets into deep with a few topics, and she doesn’t sing slowly to make the songs sound better ( like she does on lover ) 9/10 . they hate to see it

    With 1989 she has succeeded in leveraging the most cordial and familiar of pop music outpourings to something that feels like a statement, a work of note and the sinew of some kind of emotional connective tissue–binding tastemakers, rock critics, guys I work with and my 12 year old cousin; irrevocably and unexpectedly.
