"I have rarely seen such an exotic beautiful set from a foreign country from a foreign time. But what I find fascinating is the uniformity of human emotion and struggle throughout different times and places. Great watch indeed."

Excellent film. The film conveys how important family was to Yadvi, the joy and pain she endured, and the positive outlook she passed on. The story by Gauri Singh and direction by Jyoti Singh and Vick Krishna displays an excellentExcellent film. The film conveys how important family was to Yadvi, the joy and pain she endured, and the positive outlook she passed on. The story by Gauri Singh and direction by Jyoti Singh and Vick Krishna displays an excellent understanding of human emotions, as well as what those times must have been like for royalty. It goes beyond pomp and ceremony. There was pain, there were heartbreaks, there was intrigue and there was unpredictability in love. Gauri, Jyoti and Vick have captured this essence extremely well and unfold the story in an exciting manner, hooking the audience right from the first frame. All in all, Yadvi is a cinematic experience not to be missed. If you have the chance to watch this beautiful film, don’t miss it. The Cinematography by Jigme tensing is captivating. You hardly see an Indie film made so well. It is well worth an Oscar. Highly recommend this film. I would like to give a special shout out to the production design. It is quite impressive and opulent. One actually feels like they are a fly in the room during a time long since gone. This level of detail is hardly seen in films today, and huge kudos to the production designing team for depicting palaces as they should be.… Expand
