A very good film with love without mushiness, comedy without being idiot, and Zach Braf is amazing with a real touch of him on the realisation and in his character. The casting is just incredible. Don't miss it. It deserve 2 hours of your life.

"Wish I Was Here" is a very inspiring film that was relatable to real life situations & crisis. Not many scenes that were meant for the audience to laugh, but the plot was splendid & moving. I REALLY don't want to spoil this movie, so here is couple of things about it.
Great Soundtrack. Movie is not boring and pretty funny. Watch it! You won't regret it
It's magnificent on my opinion.

I live in Russia, where a good film a great rarity.
The film "Wish I was here," amazing. Not everyone will like it, but this movie is very rare peace.
I did not leave to go to him in the movie (I found out later about the film already) andI live in Russia, where a good film a great rarity.

I did not leave to go to him in the movie (I found out later about the film already) and I donated money on Kickstarter. I watched Garden State and I already knew what to expect from the director of the new film and wish I had known about it earlier.
(In Russian film got, we can say thanks to the effort of one man . Thank him for that)… Expand

Фильм идёт ровной хорошей дорогой. Смешной, местами грустноватый, актёры отлично подобраны и играют замечательно, хороший саундтрек, но эмоций сильных не испытываешь... Вот только последние 30 минут дают кучу грусти и поводов для размышлений,Фильм идёт ровной хорошей дорогой. Вот только последние 30 минут дают кучу грусти и поводов для размышлений, что чуть-ли не до слёз. Да, оценку я немного завысил, если не опираться на эмоции последних 30 минут, то это где-то 7.5-8. Но главное получить от фильма удовольствие, поэтому от меня 8.5, округляем и получаем 9/10.
Итог: Отличный, грустный ближе к концу фильм, который даёт почувствовать себя одиноким, если рядом с вами сейчас никого нет. P.S. Если вы атеист, то постарайтесь перебороть себя, потому что это только первые 20 минут очень часто упоминают бога и молятся, но чем дальше, тем меньше этих неприятных для вас вещей.
Так же, кроме Зака Браффа я насчитал как-минимум трёх актёров из сериала "Клиника"… Expand

I found this quite a touching film - its got sentimentality in it, as should be expected given its mainly about the impending death of a relative but its not overly, excessively cheesy in a predictably bad way. I was surprised given this is categorised as a comedy film but it does have some amusing moments - its more a pretty amusing film with some nice touches than a big laugh out loud sort of a film but I thought that overall it was really quite good as Zach Braff does a good job playing the main character, the father Aidan Bloom. I liked the kids, how they challenged their father at times and how the 3 of them got on together, while Kate Hudson plays their mother. The performances are decent and its both amusing and touching, with a nice amount of quirkiness, so I felt it was well made overall and on that basis I'd recommend it.… Expand

Seriously underrated. Zach Braff is a beautiful souls and has a distinct heart in filmmaking. This Rom-Com is one of the best I have seen in the genre!
