This movie is infectuous with its John Travolta disco dancing, it's thumping 1970's soundtrack, its exaggerated but lovable characters (it is satire afterall...), and the set designs are colorful and capture the mood perfectly. Most impressive, however, was the sub-story about the psychic dad who has the power of telekinesis, who as a kid accidently exploded a turtle. Watch the beauty as tightly woven personalities unravel as the once thought impossible becomes a reality they can't handle. I smiled throughout this movie and took pause to reflect upon the modern day tightly woven personalities constantly trying to tell us what's real and what's not, fearful of the masses actually exploring their world and deciding for themselves. Explore this movie. It's satire at its best. It will challenge you to look at yourself in the context of the silly cultural icons you currently identify with and ask you to define yourself without them. Expand
