This wasn't the all-out extreme violence action/horror fest I'd expected, given the films title and rating (18 in the UK). I'd seen a lot of discussion about this title being added to the streaming service today and seeing its listed as partThis wasn't the all-out extreme violence action/horror fest I'd expected, given the films title and rating (18 in the UK). I'd seen a lot of discussion about this title being added to the streaming service today and seeing its listed as part comedy and a covering the theme of toxic masculinity, I found myself intrigued to watch it. It is certainly a cult film, with a strong sense of quirkiness. It has the feel of a b-movie, of course but I enjoyed it as I liked the interaction/dialogue between the various characters and the mix of discussion and action. There are some scenes that are quite distasteful and could offend people, scenes relating to sex abuse references, I can't not mention that and there is some violence featured but most of it is what I consider fairly moderate, rather than especially explicit. I quite like the role of female characters and the fact there's some role reversal present too (I'll elaborate no more).

It won't be for everyone but if you like a comic book style Asian b-movie, then this is worth looking at, yes.… Expand
