It was fun in segments, but it heads into its third act without direction, and loses a lot of the initial enthusiasm.
Even Sarah Gadon seems like a lost character from the Vampire Academy movie.

Definitely Netflix material.

Vampires vs. the Bronx is too derivative of other movies, principally Attack the Block, The Monster Squad, The Lost Boys and Stranger Things. Even with its "satirical" overtones, came out a simple and too ordinary film. The tries (and very cheap) to fit too many cultural themes in order to impose a decent plot, transform in forgets about the things like plot, acting and suspense.Even with its "satirical" overtones, came out a simple and too ordinary film. Vampires in the Bronx is by no means an innovative project. It is not known what was the source of such a high critical assessment, but the result is obvious: Netflix once again repeated the idea of "Stranger Things", but the result, some unnecessarily prolonged series of "Tales from the Crypt" comes out that is simple as duck.… Expand

Serviceably entertaining little movie, but it's very lightweight, from the lack of character depth to the tame vampire violence (this is clearly targeting teens). From the streaming service that gave us "Cuties" here we have "Vampires vs The bronx".
This movie have strong WHITE MAN BAD vibe.

If you can look past that it starts pretty good for a vampire movie.
But it slowly drops to a halt. Therese a flying scene in the end of the movie that's so bad that i had to re watch to see if i was dreaming.
I'm Glad I Cancelled Netflix almost a year ago.… Expand

I don’t dislike the concept at all, but vampires are so over saturated: all ideas explored here have been explored in many other films ad nauseum. And the vampires were such poor antagonists: they essentially stood around while a bunch of 10 year olds made quick work of them, and didn’t anticipate any use of your classical vampire weapons.

Wrapping social issues in other concepts is a really successful in many cases, but movies like this are so lazy so as to drown those issues in a sea of irrelevance. Another dud from Netflix throwing money at the wall hoping something, anything will stick.… Expand

This is a unique spoof of the vampire-genre and it packs enough creepy scares to make it worthy of the Halloween season. These kids are loveable and funny.

One of the best options for Halloween. One of its strengths is that the plot doesn't take anything seriously, cleverly mixing horror and comedy. To see on Halloween and those that follow.
