Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but I laughed. and I enjoyed the homages.

I give this one a... meh. The characters did have a neutral responsibility. It's not that amazing but, nice. I prefer the 1964 cartoon and my fanmade 2022 movie. That's all of my review.

This movie is a mixed bag for me. On the one side it's extremely cliché, the jokes are cheese and the acting isn't that great, and it has plot holes, but on the other side, it's fun to watch, it's cute and innocent. My 8 year old niece dragged me to see Underdog, and it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be. She enjoyed it immensely, and it was engaging enough for me that I didn't run screaming. Not as awful as its premise may suggest it is, it has its moments of adventure and humor, enough to fulfill the attention spans of children, even if it feels too ridiculous at times.

Underdog doesn't deserve a bad rating. It just needs to be better. That's all and it doesn't look like the originals even though the dog used in the movie is worth keeping.
