A horror anthology film that explores two works on Edgar Allan Poe, but made in the 'modern age' of the 1990s. Both short films are decent, though George A. Romero's is the stronger of the two.

Romeros story is great if a bit long in the tooth retelling of a goldigger murder plot and Argentos second story was far more brutal but Ultimately non sensical as we watch a psychopath be erm, psychopathic. What can I say? In this interesting horror film, the one who stands out is Argento.

This film doesn't represent any crucial point for the filmography of both but it's one of those curious elements that represent only a small portion of what both directors achieved in their careers.
Although as I said, Argento shows a much better handling in his part of the anthology. while it seems that Romero wasn't that interested. I still liked it though.… Expand
