I managed to last to the 3:23 mark. Clooney and Roberts overact massively insufferable caricatures of themselves. A nauseating display of false self-deprecation. Remarkable George Clooney and Julia Roberts as the main cast. They're delivering their acting performance on a beachy place that Paradise Island looks like, Bali in Indonesia. To create a very typical rom-com, the storyline tells us about distrust issues in relationship.

Divorced parents try to prevent their daughter's marriage to a man that barely they knew him. Both just met in Bali after she graduated from Law School in the U. S.

The biggest pros just as my headline, are their great cast, movie place, and typical rom-com genre. Clooney and Roberts performance as a couple is pretty nostalgic to Ocean's Trilogy (Films) which they're also a troubled couple. To make this movie more persuasive, this movie also brought a rising actor from Netflix's Emily in Paris, Lucas Bravo as a supporting actor. What a great marketing choice.

The jokes are also great such as typical rom-com.

Besides that, this movie is just standard.

This movie cast a Bali actor with mixed blood, French-Indonesian, Maxime Bouttier as the second leading male actor. His acting performance is just so-so which is okay if consider him ain't a Hollywood actor. That might be the reason he was hired. He represents a local people although he is mixed blood, lol.

For closure, it's a good movie if bored and wanted some life distraction. Less than 2 hrs? It's perfect to watch and not spend a lot of time. Watch it or missed it, nothin' special but it is still good.

The movie is brilliant and feels like mamma mia 1 but they get married and the boy knows who stole the ring but in mamma mia 1 the girl knows that 3 people are coming and the dad of the girl feels like the 3 men from mamma mia 1 but in 1 man and its not a musical. The songs they choose are fantastic especially when they are playing with alcohol and ball in a cup. They made the movie brilliantly and the story with dialogue is good and funny… Expand

I think this movie is fun and breezy and completely enjoyable with a few really good laughs. George Clooney and Julia Roberts are just a joy to watch together - two charming, beautiful, funny total pros on screen together again!!

It tells a story of relatable characters, with palpable chemistry. It also manages to subvert many film cliches and tug at your heartstrings with scenes and situations that veer more into the category of drama. The Clooney and Robert's characters are also written in a way that makes them human. Flaws and all, we get to see how they ended up the way they are and root for them to find their way back. My only gripe with this film is the character of the daughter and the actress portraying her. It almost felt like two different films whenever she was in screen. She just didn't stand out whatsoever, then again she had big shoes to fill. That being said Ticket to Paradise is highly recommended. In a world full of remakes and Disney flicks, it tells a heartwarming and hilarious story.… Expand

An interesting rom-com in that the stars are old now, no longer the love interest but the parents of the daughter in love. Bickering, fighting, battling since their divorce, they unite on a Bali island to visit their daughter. Daddy Clooney is fun, the film drags a good amount in the middle and in its climax. The overall plot and romance is not exactly lighting the screen on fire.

Clooney and Julia Roberts are undeniable in this heartfelt and harmless romantic comedy. Kaitlyn Dever is also really good here, im a huge fan of hers from Dopesick, Short Term 12, Unbelievable and Booksmart. I really feel like she's going to be a massive player in acting in the future and she is so good at adding layers to a somewhat thin character.

Most of the comedy here works, the characters play off eachother well here and help create some genuinely funny moments. My main gripe is really just the plot, I found it to be unrealistic and thin. Theres an underlying theme about living in the moment and doing what makes you happy, which is great and all but I felt like the plot doesn't do this film or the characters any favors in terms of execution. Its a solid watch overall, im obviously not in this films target audience but id definitely recommend giving it a watch at least once.… Expand

Dito isso, é um filme inofensivo. O casal separado de Clooney e de Roberts acompanham a filha que decide largar os estudos e a promissora profissão para viver com um jovem em uma estendida versão do seu amor de verão. Nada mais brega ou menos romântico que essa proposta.
Claro que os produtores darão a mínima para desenvolver o jovem casal, mal sabemos a origem do rapaz que parece ter uma filosofia de vida minimalista interessante, pelos poucos diálogos que lhe reservaram. Sobrou mesmo para os veteranos segurarem a onda, baseado no carisma e na tradição de suas presenças, mas o roteiro sempre os coloca ora em situações constrangedoras (a cena do avião, por exemplo), ora em situações que não saem do lugar comum.
É um filme que não se arrisca, e acaba nem sendo engraçado, completamente esquecível. E pra completar é uma soma de clichês infindáveis, desde porres que servem para uma explosão de alegria até então contida ao final quadrado demais. Ordinário e esquecível.… Expand

Finally a refreshing and upbeat movie starring the two great Hollywood star actors George Clooney and Julia Roberts. Enjoyed the movie. Just switch off, watch the movie and let the good mood flow into you. Good fun time. Nothing that’s make you think Oscar worthy. It’s pretty by the numbers and predictable but doesn’t mean it’s any less fun. Some good laughs and George and Sarah do good together.

Zwischen David Cotton (George Clooney) und Georgia Cotton (Julia Roberts) lief es nicht immer schlecht. Nach insgesamt fünf Ehejahren hassen sie sich und gehen sich so weit wie möglich aus dem Weg. Das Problem ist die gemeinsame Tochter LilyZwischen David Cotton (George Clooney) und Georgia Cotton (Julia Roberts) lief es nicht immer schlecht. Nach insgesamt fünf Ehejahren hassen sie sich und gehen sich so weit wie möglich aus dem Weg. Das Problem ist die gemeinsame Tochter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever), welche in Bali heiraten möchte und den Segen von den beiden Eltern möchte. Diese wollen die Hochzeit verhindern und dass sie zurück in die USA reist.

Julia Roberts und George Clooney sind zwei sehr bekannte Schauspieler und man könnte denken, dass sie miteinander gut harmonieren können. Dies ist leider gar nicht der Fall, wenn die beiden sich wieder näher kommen, kauft man es den beiden nicht ab. Sie lachen sich nur gegenseitig an, schauen weg und grinsen nur. Bei Clooney ist es noch in Ordnung, aber Roberts grinsen ist eher gruselig. Der Grund dafür, dass die beiden sich auf die Insel begeben, macht zwar Sinn, aber wie schnell das abläuft, ergibt gar keinen Sinn. Gefühlt kennen sich Lily und ihr Verlobter nur ein paar Stunden oder einen Tag und wollen direkt heiraten. Die Familienangehörigen von ihrem Verlobten sind für Witze da, die aber nicht funktionieren. Generell ist der Film für eine Liebeskomödie nicht wirklich witzig genug und die Liebesbeziehungen wirken nicht echt. Wie der Film endet, kann man sich schon von vornherein denken und ist nichts Besonderes. Was ich gut am Film fand ist die Insel selber, obwohl es da auch Szenen gibt, die vor Greenscreen gedreht wurden.

Ticket ins Paradies ist keine gute Liebeskomödie. Die Liebe kauft man keinem ab und es ist auch nicht witzig, sondern eher unangenehm. Der Film ist zwar nicht langweilig, aber schauen braucht man ihn nicht unbedingt.

It's not a great story, has bad structure, and is not even that particularly funny but it's a sweet Rom-Com with Julia Roberts and George Clooney and offers a handful of scenes that justify the price of admission. The movie has surprisingly good acting by its supporting cast as well, Kaitlin Dever and Maxime Bouttier (the young couple being married) shine. It's also shot beautifully, which was a nice surprise, and gives you a bit of wanderlust for paradise. Overall, if you want the George Clooney and Julia Roberts (ala Ocean's Eleven) conflict banter and love story, this is for you but don't look for many other frills other than that.
