In a sea of contemporary woke stupidity there are still a few new movies that are fun to watch. This is one of them. Awesome special effects. Cool story. Makes you feel stuff. Super fun. Definitely recommended.

The movie & acting is very good..
Is the plot retarded>YES!
But so are most action flicks.. *The countries Governments really are dumb in this & it didnt bother me much. but i was still aware that Humanity could be defeated by advanced aggroThe movie & acting is very good..

the ending Alien ship is 100% identical to Alien/Prometheus..
But i like it....
I did score the movie a 10 because Pratt is awesome and very likeable..
I can't believe Hollywood wants to cancel him for being a Christian..

Great movie. Dads friendly movie.
I watched with my kid 17 and daughter 13, we all enjoyed it.
Original script, nice acting compelling story about a family man, fighting a war against all odds.

Every movie with Chrispy Rat is amazing. Yeah, it has the typical cheesy movie fallbacks. Like unlimited ammo and unnecessary drama, but overall it is a fantastic movie with a great plot/premise. It has a lot of action with some intense alien monster scenes so I don’t know if it would be good for kids. It reminded me some of the movie Independence Day with Will Smith. Humanity coming together to stop alien invasion from destroying them. It has sci-fi stuff which a lot of times has stuff in it that doesn’t make sense. You have to suspend belief some, like you do for any sci-fi movie (such as Avengers) because it has stiff in it that doesn’t exist currently in reality. Also claims saying it doesn’t know what kind of movie it wants to be, doesn’t make sense to me. It is a sci-fi alien save human race type movie and it has other stuff in it like family moments and mending family relationships that is refreshing to me. It didn’t all fit a movie category formula. And that was refreshing to me as often real life doesn’t fit a formula. I enjoyed it and it had some more Intense scenes than I was expecting. But overall I enjoyed it and was moved by it, especially some of father daughter and family scenes.
It is It was a worthwhile watch and 2 hours, in my opinion!… Expand

I loved this movie. It was great to see Chris Pratt fighting Alien Dinosaurs. So basically it’s a more intense version of Jurassic World in the future with alien raptors. Plus it’s interesting with his daughter in the future.

The movie was exactly as it is presented. A fun time travel romp that does not overly concern itself with heavy time paradox rules. Some parts do seem under developed or a bit slow but overall an excellent action flick with family issues mixed in.

But that's more originality then you will get from most Hollywood movies. The movies biggest strength is the creatures and the surprising relationship Pratt has with a female military's officer once gets to the future. Those scenes together were really powerful. Really the only thing stopping the movie from being a 10 are some minor flaws and nitpicks.… Expand

Not only is this very wholesome, but it has a ton of positive aspects that I adore and would love to see more of. Very happy that it's also not woke.

Is it perfect though? Hell no, there are not many explanations and there are quite a few plot holes, but if you consider the timespan and the quick action that it requires, it gets much more believable.

In short, best movie since even before the koof koof.… Expand

The first act of this movie was a bit slow and boring but the second and third act was just brilliant and full of action. It was a mixture of the Edge of Tomorrow, Interstellar, and World War Z. The aliens are scary and hard to kill, and the woman in charge of saving the world is Yvonne Strahovski, a brilliant scientist with mad military skills is as comfortable in a lab as she is wielding dropping from a helicopter into a nest with a hostile alien. It's so worth a watch for sure.… Expand

Really fun if somewhat unconventional blockbuster action flick. It won’t win any awards but it’s a hell of a thrill ride to enjoy some popcorn to.

I liked this movie. I have decided I want to see Yvonne Strahovski in more action movies -- I really liked her. I'd be happy if she and Chris Pratt did something like this again! JK Simmons was a surprise! He seems like a filler actor onI liked this movie. I have decided I want to see Yvonne Strahovski in more action movies -- I really liked her. I'd be happy if she and Chris Pratt did something like this again! JK Simmons was a surprise! He seems like a filler actor on TV but did a nice job. The plot seems like Edge of Tomorrow, but I like this movie better I think, although Edge of Tomorrow is a bit tighter. I like how this film wraps everything up into a multi-generational family healing film.

You can read some harsh negative reviews. OK - believe them if you want. I think that people are just too cynical. The plot is not that bad -- its pretty good. But if you are looking for enjoyable entertainment with a positive feeling at the end of the movie, this one works fine and should not be condemned. I will probably watch it several times.… Expand

Its really not a super great movie. At least not if you have maintained your standard over the last few years of garbage movies.

I found it good enough to forget everything around me and just focus on the movie, which is a rare thing nowadays.

Yes, there are numerous plot holes and the whole time travel paradox takes some believing (though no more so than other films that rely on this construct, such as the terminator franchise) but overall it's a great action/sci-fi film. Three sequences stood out for me; the part when the future soldiers invade the football game, the jump into the future and the attack on the human base. I found the last part of the film to be somewhat bolted-on however, there are numerous well-worn tropes found in other films (starship troopers, aliens, the thing, etc). Overall a really enjoyable film.… Expand

Great movie, had a blast, good action, great characters, great baddies.
Thr movie premise is good, you as an audience have to "just take" the dumb explanations of why the most elite armies did nothing of value while the every day bob can.Great movie, had a blast, good action, great characters, great baddies.

Actually entertaining movie in a sea of current s*** w*** movies. Father-daugther relation in future was strange at first but then surprised positively. Grab some popcorn and enjoy!

My family and I enjoyed this movie quite a bit. It definitely had an independence day feel to the movie. There is some definite cheese that will make you roll your eyes, but overall a very entertaining movie.

8/10 if you don't like sci-fi, 9/10 if you do like sci-fi. The closest any sci-fi-actioner movie has come to Doug Limon's and Tom Cruise's Edge of Tomorrow (Live Die, Repeat). Nice summer blockbuster. Tesnsion, Action and Fun! If you liked Independece Day with Will Smith or Edge of Tomorrow wit Tom Cruise you will love Tomorrow War! I had a good time! 8 out of 10

I really enjoyed this movie, it was packed with action and had decent special effects. Easy to digest story, good humour. The only thing i didn't like were monsters as bullet sponges and no reloading on guns really, overall a very good movie,I really enjoyed this movie, it was packed with action and had decent special effects. Overall a great movie. Plot is okay, which is fine for an action movie. Action sequences are great

What is REALLY fun is the use of basically random people in the movie. I love seeing some comedians throwing down with the soldiers

A fun movie. Chris Pratt shoots aliens. The VFX are pretty good, much better than a lot of movies. Alien designs are cool. The plot is a little messy in places but the performances carry it. Movies from Streaming studios have a reputation of B quality, but The Tomorrow War is a grade-A contender. The action is breathtaking and whiplash-inducing, in between quieter moments. The time travel dimension echoes Edge of Tomorrow but onMovies from Streaming studios have a reputation of B quality, but The Tomorrow War is a grade-A contender. The action is breathtaking and whiplash-inducing, in between quieter moments. The time travel dimension echoes Edge of Tomorrow but on a far less iterative scale. There are even parallels to religious texts and the themes of ancient evils waiting to emerge. The creature design of the ‘spikes’ is somewhat unique and terrifying, even though it's clear there is an amalgamation of other beasts. It's hard to come up with truly unique forms after the age of HR Giger and Stan Winston. There are certainly inspirations from the Alien series, especially the original from Ridley Scott. Despite all these influences, this movie stands on its own as a formidable action outing. Chris Pratt is comfortable in his Jurassic World role as a fearless protagonist who wants to do the right thing, especially for his daughter. We can’t expect great depth from him, his range is limited but adequate. I was surprised instead by the performance of Yvonne Strahovski, who often gets relegated to B movies as a supporting cast. Here instead she rose to the occasion and portrayed a tough leader with great emotional depth and nuance. JK Simmons stole the show in the end, with his caustic abrasive and absolutely genius jaded veteran role. There was an action scene where he demonstrated brain over brawn in combat, and I clapped out loud. We should never underplay the sacrifice of common people when faced with a global threat of complete annihilation. The bravery of the supporting cast was well appreciated in the face of certain death. Amazon made a great action movie that is definitely worth the 2 hours. This is better than some of the stuff that made it to theatres in the past.… Expand
