In spite of some tense scenes and a good performance from Jena Malone, this is a tired story, needlessly gory and lacks originality. Well produced, It begins to fall apart after the first half. It does have it's moments though.

Interesting setting and hot cast, but it lost me when the vines got grabby and the flowers started making noise -- very Little Shop of Horrors. Gory/gross and yet too silly to be great.

No fue mucho como lo esperaba, los personajes estuvieron OK, la violencia gráfica estuvo a la altura pero no logró sorprenderme y la idea principal no estuvo bien desarrollada.

I enjoyed this horror. It was edgy and suspenseful. As with any horror there are gaps in the story and lots of "why didn't they .." and "if only then" - but that is not the point. We had a good nights viewing and that is what it is about.

- college kids that are likable - you can feel the heat - awesome practical effects, good cg work
- very cool location (especially for a nerd like me)
- no superfluous scenes in this film, IT'S 80 MINUTES

It looked nice. The blacks were crushed and the whites too hot but that seems the style now and it looks fine. I would have rather seen it in high-def due to the lovely landscapes but I'm not that arsed. I liked the sounds actually. The soundIt looked nice. I liked the sounds actually. The sound effects were convincing and the music was unnoticeable (so it must have done its job). It has the slowest pacing. The most shocking scene is where the guy is shot but that takes place early on and is soon forgotten amongst rather boring plant attacks. To be fair there are some gross bits but it is not enough to stop is being boring. The characters are too annoying and you want them to die. There is no emotional attachment. It reminded me of Hostel (2005) in structure. For a horror film it is not scary. It's not even that gory or anything. It is boring though!… Expand
