A beautiful film tainted with Magic Realism, portrays a not-so-fictional Peruvian family. The Quechua singing by the lead character is magnificent, it sets the tone for the picture. "The Milk of Sorrow" is a film with a beautiful story of overcoming. With a historical trauma in the minds of some Peruvian towns. Magaly Solier is an actress who captivates with her nonverbal communication. Claudia Llosa looks positively"The Milk of Sorrow" is a film with a beautiful story of overcoming. With a historical trauma in the minds of some Peruvian towns. Magaly Solier is an actress who captivates with her nonverbal communication. Claudia Llosa looks positively Peruvian indigenous history (which in "Madeinusa" isn't it). "The Milk of Sorrow" had to have won the Academy Award. Llosa's magic realism is reminds me of great novels of her uncle, Mario Vargas Llosa. Expand
