What was great about this movie is the overall experience you get in the theatre while watching this movie. Very few animated kids movies do a good job of appealing to kids and adults and put them in seats. To me, for the longest time,What was great about this movie is the overall experience you get in the theatre while watching this movie. Very few animated kids movies do a good job of appealing to kids and adults and put them in seats. To me, for the longest time, Pixar was the only one who could do this. But I am so pleased to say that this movie is great and enjoyable for kids and adults. The humor appeal to both sides without going to far to one side and you keep getting sucked into the comedy of the movie. Another funny part about this movie is that it is very self aware of what it is and of the character of Batman recently. The movie does bring up some points about the not-so-great parts about Batman and addresses them. It is very cool that the studio not only allowed them to do that, but also doing it in a very effective way. Will Arnett rocks it as this version of Batman, he’s a huge narcissist and thinks he’s all that because he’s Batman which was really funny for the whole audience while I was in the theatre.

This movie being as funny as it is does lend itself to the flaws I had with the movie. In that, because the humor of the movie never lets up with the humor and it’s joke after joke. This leads to the first problem, while you do laugh at every joke and it is funny the jokes never have time to fully sink in because you are being presented so many jokes. Not saying this hurts the comedy, but you could become worn out from all the jokes being thrown at you, but it still is funny all around. This leads me to my biggest issue with the movie, and that’s the sudden shift in tone in a part of the movie. There is a whole family dynamic part to the movie which was very out of the blue. What I mean by that is that I found myself cracking up and then suddenly watching something about family. Not saying it was bad but it just is a very sharp turn and I feel could’ve been done a lot more efficient than how it was done in the movie.… Expand

Great movie, sugar rush of entertainment, but my kids had trouble following likely due to the constant overload. Fun movie that is re-watchable.

This is a very engrossing, fast paced, immersive film which I really enjoyed. I liked it for the variety of characters and the fact it seemed to tell a well known characters backstory - I won't say anymore so as not to provide spoilers. For a good bit of escapism, you could do a lot worse than watch this. Its obviously aimed at (and is suitable for) young kids but I reckon adults can enjoy it too - I'm in my 30s and I enjoyed it. The songs/musical score is good (fun) and the plot I thought was perhaps slightly cheesy but mostly quite interesting and fun. We need more such genuinely fun, escapist films like this in times like these I feel and so I would definitely recommend it to others.… Expand

I used to watch TV on TV and at that moment The LEGO Batman Movie was premiered on HBO and I really liked Batman, so I thought why not. The film caught the eye with surprisingly good music, which immediately drew me into the action, and overall I have to praise the stylization, because overall LEGO films probably have to give a crazy piece of work. The story is fine. It doesn't inspire, it doesn't offend, so I would comment on this film in general. A good film, which is by no means exceptional, but not bad either. This is a movie that nobody should hate, at least to me. Visually stunning, dialogue has peaked fantastically, and all around an entertainment of a story for all ages!

This movie is genuinely the funniest movie I've ever seen, if you're a fan of batman but are put off this movie by the Lego aspect. watch it, you will not be disappointed in the slightest

Didn't think there was enough material here to sustain a feature length movie, but was I wrong.
Funny, over the top, & well paced. This movie will keep both adults and kids entertained.

While it may not have the deeper underlying layers of The LEGO Movie, The LEGO Batman Movie is still a fun, family-friendly ride that will please Bat-fanatics as well as younger audiences.

When Warner Bros. announced The Lego Movie in 2011, many people were skeptical about its potential success. However, it turned out to be a hit and now it has become a franchise with The Lego Batman Movie being the latest addition. However, it turned out to be a hit and now it has become a franchise with The Lego Batman Movie being the latest addition. Will Arnett's portrayal of Batman was a highlight of the first film, but the question remains whether the joke can stretch that far to lead a film of its own. The plot of the film is a bit all over the place, but the gag rate is tremendous, and it makes up for the lack of momentum. The film also delves into the emotional baggage of Batman's parents' tragic demise and has twice the emotional resonance of any live-action superhero film. The animation is outstanding and the references to other Batman films and comics will appeal to die-hard fans and casual viewers alike.
