Kept you hooked from the first minute. The build up was long and intense but worth it in the end.

Pretentious twaddle masquerading as something much more deep and meaningful.
If your idea of a good movie is watching privileged, self indulgent, {mostly} 30 somethings get together and self destruct then go ahead. Otherwise avoid.

This movie starts promisingly but goes downhill rapidly. In order to buy in to the whole premise a high tolerance for privileged but vacuous people is necessary.

There is a chilling, something-is-definitely-off-here realism to Kusama's slow burning indie thriller that impels an almost Hitchcockian sense of dread and paranoia.

Boring and annoying from the beginning to the end. I give credits for cinematography and main actor's performance. But over all dumb and not worth a watch.

I found this remarkably suspenseful and more poignant than I would have thought. It's less a horror movie than a psycho-thriller, but it has horrific elements. It features good characters in situations that seem uncomfortably real. I recommend it.

"The invitation" began very promising, but ended up being another disappointment. My time was wasted and i don't think i'll ever watch it again.

An extremely dull look into a yuppie cult. I had high hopes from all the positive critic reviews, but this really just didn't amount to anything really and left a gross taste in my mouth. Logan Marshall-Green was the only solid part of this.

The tone begins affably, and as suspicion slowly settles in it shifts to unnerving. The tension is palpable and continuously built upon until the macabre finale. Expertly crafted, edge-of-your-seat psychological thriller.

Poorly made senario, people in the movie are missing the slightest sense behind their acts. Spare yourself from wathing this waste of time.

You're sitting there waiting and waiting and waiting for something interesting to happen. And when something finally does in the last 15 minutes, it's too little too late and it feels very rushed.

The build in intensity is well worth the wait for the crescendo. If you like a bit of a thriller / mystery, this one is well worth a watch.

Pretty stale dialogues and a build up that results in a pretty formulaic end. Stylistically beautiful but the grief which is supposed to drive the end is not really present throughout the film

I'm a fan of the dinner party cum psychological thriller trope, and this does not disappoint. The deeper and deeper one goes, the more that is revealed about Will's background, and the more the suspense builds and builds.

While far from perfect , this psychological thriller's strength lies in the way the scares slowly creep up on you.

Please light the film differently so I can see anything in your "suspenseful" scenes. Also in general I need **** to hit the fan earlier than an hour in for a movie like this. This **** stunk and the trailer gave literally everything away.
