Why was it decided to make this movie so long? I really don't know.
If anything this movie could have used a good trimming in the editing room.

Reading the synopsis I was interested in seeing it, not because its plot twist was anything out of the ordinary, but because I thought it might have something to salvage.
Unfortunately the mix of romance and sci-fi doesn't work the way I personally think its makers thought it would.

In fact The In Between has a problem that bothered me a lot, because it ended up being a tremendously wasted narrative resource.
I'm talking about what the plot was proposing because it could have had a much more serious twist. Not sinister by any means, but it really could have evoked something genuinely emotional, instead of wasting it all on a story too cheesy not to feel the cringe in too many of its sequences.… Expand
